DICK'S Sporting Goods — Local services in Madison

I had a really disappointing experience at Dick’s Sporting Goods today because of an employee named Ricky. From the moment I approached him for help, he seemed uninterested and annoyed, as if I was bothering him just by asking a simple question. I was looking for a specific pair of running shoes, and instead of assisting me, he just vaguely gestured to an aisle without even making eye contact. When I asked if they had a certain size in stock, he sighed loudly and mumbled something under his breath before walking away, leaving me standing there confused. After waiting several minutes, I saw him chatting with another employee instead of checking on my request. When I finally got his attention again, he rudely told me, “If it’s not out there, we don’t have it,” in a tone that made it clear he had no interest in helping. The whole interaction made me feel like my business wasn’t valued at all. Customer service should be about helping people, not making them feel like an inconvenience. If management at this store cares about their reputation, they should seriously consider retraining their staff—or at the very least, reminding Ricky that basic politeness goes a long way. The man working the golf section was more concerned with chastising my 12 year old kid for picking up a golf club and not putting it in the rack properly than to ask him if he could help us find what we needed. He told him if he did not know how to put things back up do not get them out. Put the golf club up and walked away. We were there to buy golf shoes and equipment. Some of the employees are nice some are absolutely horrible most are on their phones! You have to run them down to help you and then they are condescending! The Dick’s in Flowood is so much better and has a better selection of clothes and everything else! Also i had stuff in my buggy i was trying to decide what to buy and the older man i believe the manager asked me for some of the stuff in my buggy which was so rude and made me feel uncomfortable so i gave them everything back and left i wont...
