My experience was a nightmare. I had side swept bangs and I wanted to get them trimmed a little because they were getting too long.The only thing I was getting cut were my bangs. I asked the hair dresser for a trim on my side swept bangs and I indicated the way that I would like them to be angled. She said okay, but instead of cutting my bangs side swept, she cut them straight across. The bangs that were cut straight across were crooked, some ends being shorter in a place where the rest were long. I said that these were not side swept bangs at all. She simply told me that they were and that I needed to play with them, instead of trying to fix them. I tried playing with those awful excuse for side swept bangs to the point where the next day I had to go to another hair salon. When I walked into the door to a different hair salon, they didn't ask me what I wanted, they asked my what happened to my hair. I told them them the situation, and they agreed that this was completely unacceptable, that no one should mess up this badly on bangs. This other hair salon was able to fix my bangs to make them presentable, but I am now unable to have side swept bangs until they grow out. I now have a hair style that I did not want because of this mess up on my bangs. On top of all of this, I wrote a comment to them on their website explaining the situation and they never got back to me. It is embarrassing on them that they could mess up something so simple as trimming bangs; and, to let someone leave in the condition they were in is completely and utterly unacceptable. I have been a customer of Downtown Salon for a little over a year now. After trying numerous salons in my area and not being too happy with the results, I asked for a recommendation from a friend who always has wonderful looking hair. She suggested Downtown Salon and Tom the stylist. The Salon is a bit out of my way, I'm from Randolph, but traveling a little is well worth the trip. I am extremely happy with my hair each time. I love this place. I walked in on a Sunday morning needing a trim and blowout in a hurry. The woman at front desk immediately accommodated me, sent me back to sink and followed to wash/condition my hair. Barbara was to be the person to trim. I told her I just needed it to look neat for a funeral. I thought it was fine when I walked out the door. Much to my surprise...ALL of my family members "LOVED" the hair cut.
