One of the best meals we've had in a while! Another gem at Madison, NJ.
This restaurant offers Thai and French food (obviously) but on our first visit, we chose to go for all asian food from the array of options on the menu. Everything seemed delicious really and we went ahead with getting fried rice, curry and chicken.
The Grilled Chicken (Gai Yang Bann Pong) under the "specialties" was sooo good! It definitely earned its spot on the menu. Meat was cooked perfectly and what I love about it was that it was so flavorful! The meal came with papaya salad and sticky rice and everything worked so well with each other. I'm really glad I went ahead with it. Hubster had the Red Curry which was equally delicious. Perfect balance of coconut milk without overpowering the meat. Had a nice mild kick and was such a joy to eat. Last but not the least, we had the Royal Pineapple fried rice with seafood. I actually thought it would be served in a pineapple but it wasnt much to my disappointment. However when I took a spoonful of it, the disappointment disappeared in an instant! This was a beautifully executed fried rice. Simple but done so well. I usually would not eat pineapple when mixed with rice but this time I did. There was just a burst of harmonious flavor on this dish that we didnt even have leftovers.
It was a very satisfying and enjoyable meal. Bonus includes the hostess being very polite and friendly and the interior decor makes you feel like you are on a mini vacation. Would love to come...
Read moreFantastic food, careful and attentive service, tasteful and trendy decor. After 3 meals eating in and 2 take out, I feel like I owe this place an amazing review. Our favorites include.... Apps: Mussels - classic thai flavors marry well with shellfish. Escargots - the menu should be updated to reflect that this is served between layers of puff pastry, and that it's delicious in an evil way. Soup/salad: Tom yum kung - such a delicious soup, try it! Crispy duck salad - I can't get enough of this one, I could eat buckets of it. Crying tiger - grilled beef in a delicious sauce. Mains: Salmon green - my go-to dish here, great combination of flavors, I just wish it would be given a new name. How about Sathorn Salmon or Ko Samui Salmon? Baby rack of lamb - WOW!! this is a blockbuster dish. The preparation and presentation were only outdone by the actual taste. Every bite is exquisite. Grilled chicken - actually named Gai Yang Bann Pong, this is a nicely marinated and grilled piece of chicken, served with a refreshing papaya salad and sticky rice that most of us have no idea how they make it so delicious. Last thing, they don't have a kids menu per se, but they will make things specifically for kids. My son had avocado for his app and plain grilled salmon for his entree. They will accommodate your...
Read moreOther than perfect combination of authentic Thai taste with trace of French style and presentation, the ambient is just right for young couples, anniversary occasion, friend or family reunion, and small group party. Our group ordered six different dishes to share and try varieties of Thai food. We loved and finished them all. Restaurant owner pay attention to every single detail not only to the foods but also to the interior design to present the beauty of Thai culture blended in with American culture. We enjoyed our dinner with great hospitality. We definitely will go back there again. By the way be sure to call and make a reservation in advance if you plan to have dinner on Friday or Saturday night. Otherwise, waiting time could be an hour. However, in case you walk in and have to wait, this town is very nice...
