Horrible customer service, didn't fix my problem, and overall just a bad service.
I just built a PC and I've been having problems crashing while playing games, I troubleshooted and did everything to fix it I possibly could to no avail. After trying everything I could think of and what I could find on the internet, I turned to geek squad, assuming they had any sort of expertise I didn't have. I gave them an extensive detailed list of all the troubleshooting I had done and how they did and didn't work. They called me back the day after saying my computer had been fixed, explaining the fix had been something I'd ALREADY DONE multiple problems and I suggested maybe that hadn't been the fix, they smugly told me they've been working on computers for a long time and they know they fixed it. I asked them if they'd done sufficient crash testing following the parameters I gave that were the conditions of all my crashes. They said yes. Now I'm sitting here with a brick of a computer because it has NOT been fixed. I have done NOTHING to the settings since they gave it to me and the problem has not changed or improved in any way. They lied to me about the crash testing because if they'd recreated the conditions I gave them, they'd have crashed after 5 minutes, apparently they somehow crash tested for 30 minutes without any problems. Read moreSo I went to get my laptop keyboard fixed, you think I’d be simple, nope. So when I took it in they said my laptop was in recall and they gave me a number to call. So I went all the way home, called, and turns out my laptop wasn’t on recall. So I then go back to geek squad again to send it in for a repair. They tell me that they can send it in, and that it should be done in 2 weeks. Sounds great right? The next day I got a call saying that they were not able to send it in for repairs. I then have to go to geek squad again to retrieve my laptop, and I asked if I could just get store credit for a different laptop. They wouldn’t even let me do that. So not only did they not help me fix my laptop, but they made go there 3 times and it was just such a waste....
Read moreIncredibly bad. I bought a laptop there. They up'd to w10 and added some memory. It immediately started blue screening. When I took it in, they wanted me to wait. I told them I'd just return the POS and then they "tried" to help me. The intake person did not understand basic troubleshooting. He did not want to collect information such as the error message from the blue screen. They've now had the unit for 3 days and their tracking says it has not been assigned to a tech yet. I called. Their call system was impossible to get through. I'm going to take the box and the external burner to the store and tell them to return my money for the unit and for the geek squad coverage. TOTAL...
