Nordstrom Rack — Local services in Madison

It was only my second time shopping here, with my daughter, but we definitely won’t be shopping here again. I don’t like to post bad reviews to the public, but in this case I gotta warn people. It’s a horrible mess to try to shop here. Nothing is organized. Like a child’s bedroom almost. The staff are awful. We tried to talk to the staff three times while we were there and got ignored twice out of the three times like we weren’t even there talking face to face. Also, they say they have deals….which frankly they might have deals…. However, you can’t find anything sorted by size because it’s scattered everywhere and nobody cares enough to help you out. The staff could use some coaching there’s no doubt about that. The five things we did buy will probably get returned later anyways because they were kind of old styles anyway, and I just don’t like the idea of supporting this business after the experience we just had. There’s more to it than that, but I’ve already sent in a survey for that. Hopefully they can make it better for others. We probably won’t...

This past winter I was in the store with my toddler. My toddler ran off while we were walking through the clothing section. Being a small child, I lost sight of her. While frantically searching for my toddler and screaming her name- clothing and appearance. I told an employee my child was lost and if she could announce it through the speaker, the employee looked at me and said she could but continued fixing clothes. Luckily another customer and her teenage daughter helped me find my child. But unfortunately none of the staff announced her name, clothing nor closed the main doors. Even though the other customer and myself asked if they could lock the doors or announce a child is missing multiple times. Very upset at the way the store handled...

Did not hear the store closing announcement as there was music blaring very loudly. Then the lights were dimmed down while I was in the store. I began to exit and a store attendant kept yelling Hola! Wasn’t sure whether shouting at me or someone else. A separate store attendant at the exit did apologize. However, I felt I was blamed for not hearing the store closing announcement. This is not safe and also not the politeness I expect to be treated at a Nordstrom store. I have not been able to find the quality and style of merchandise that I expect either for the last...
