As a regular customer of Park to Shop in Niles, IL, I am accustomed to spending significant amounts on groceries each month, particularly on heavy items like fresh seafood and fruit. My experiences until recently have been satisfactory. However, during my latest visit, I encountered an issue with the store’s bagging policy. Recognizing that the bags were overpacked and recalling past instances where such bags have broken, I requested an additional bag for safer transport. Contrary to my previous experiences, the clerk informed me that there would be a charge of 10 cents per additional bag. Despite explaining the situation and my concerns about the bag's durability, the clerk remained unyielding. This inflexibility over a simple request for an extra bag to ensure the safe transportation of groceries was both surprising and disappointing. Given no viable alternative to safely carry my purchases, I felt compelled to return the items. This experience reflects poorly on the store, whether it's due to a change in policy, an employee’s misunderstanding, or a lapse in customer service. Read moreI have been a loyal customer at your store for nearly 10 years, regularly shopping for my groceries and always having had positive experiences. However, my recent visit left me deeply disappointed, particularly with the service in the fish section.
I encountered a very rude and unprofessional attitude from the attendant, a short Mexican gentleman. When I tried to select my own fish, he insisted that all fish were the same and dismissed my preference. The fish he chose for me was of noticeably lower quality, and when I voiced my concerns, he treated me condescendingly, as if I were a child.
This issue isn't isolated to my experience alone. Several of my friends, who also shop at your store, have reported similar unpleasant interactions with the same individual. His behavior does not align with the standards of customer service that I have come to expect from your store.
I believe that a customer-oriented approach should be maintained at all times, where our preferences and concerns are respected. I urge the management to address this...
Read moreMy family liked this place a lot. We used to visit this market very often since it was Assi mart. However, this market needs to train employees for better customer service. We have found one item has been charged more which is on sale. But the lady cashier kept saying “this is the different item” in a very impolite manner and walked away. We had to walk back and forth several times to check the item. We were able to talk to the manager later and heard it from him saying that it is the right item but was the last month sale item. The difference that they charged is less than a dollar. It is really not a big problem but how the lady at the cashier treated customer is totally wrong!!! They still put up the last month sale on the wall and made the customer confused and blamed us on the matter. I am very disappointed...
