Burrito House — Restaurant in Maine Township

It's been a long time since the last time I went to this restaurant. I visited this recently and it was literally packed, and it was not packed for no reason. I have known this place for years now, and it was our favorite spot for authentic Mexican food. There were even times when we would drive just to get here at midnight because the restaurant was still open until like 1:00 am. I do not know if they still do that, but the food here is really good and the prices are very cheap as well. The line was really long and I had to wait a long time to order and get my food. I just ordered a simple burrito and it is still as generous in quantity as before and definitely as huge as before. It is also reasonably priced and definitely the best deal I can get for a huge burrito. The flavor, I must say, is pretty much the same. I got a steak burrito. However, the only difference I could tell was the quality of the meal. The quality of the meat is not bad, but it is definitely not just like before. The Burrito House is one of the most authentic and best Mexican restaurants I know here in Niles. I always make a point of stopping in here whenever I'm in the neighborhood and also whenever I'm craving some good Mexican food. It also has a nice location. It is a clean restaurant with a casual and comfy atmosphere and vibe. They are mostly packed, so it is always normal for me to wait at least 20 minutes for my food. The staff here are all friendly and accommodating too. Their menu has a variety of selections and the prices are all fair and reasonable, and also definitely worth it because the food is always delicious. I love this place. I typically work until 11pm and if I’m ever craving tacos, they’re open late & super convenient. Delicious tacos, delicious tamales, everything I’ve had was amazing. I’m from Texas and have higher expectations for Mexican food, they reach them here! Very kind, hardworking employees. I see them constantly cleaning up even while the cooks are grilling and prepping food, and the grill is right in front of the counter so you can see your food being made. It adds to the experience & shows that they are being clean and efficient! I’ve worked in food and know that some back of house kitchens can be absolutely disgusting. This place is the opposite.
