This place used to be really good. We use to come to celebrate our kids birthdays. I got to the restaurant on 2/10/22 at around 8:30. This was a Thursday evening. I sat in one of the really large booths in the back. I was waiting for a friend. The server brought me coffee in a styrofoam cup but did not bring me water. She brought me chips that tasted terrible. The chips tasted like they came out of a bag. My friend came around 9 pm and ordered a beer. The chips were so bad that my friend had to add lime and salt so they would taste better. We waited for the server to come back so we could order. The restaurant was not busy. We kept waving our hands to get her attention. She was busy talking to other employees. It was a total joke. Finally we caught her attention. There was no reason for the server to neglect her customers. I ordered a tongue taco and two tamales. The tamales were really dry. We ordered some type of cheese dip that was pretty good. My friend ordered this $17 or $18 chicken dinner plate and two tamales. The server brought the food with plastic silverware. That was actually insulting. How was she supposed to cut up this big piece of chicken with a plastic knife. I finally got the water I ordered. The whole experience was so tacky with styrofoam coffee cups, paper cups for water and plastic silverware. The only good part was the pickled cauliflower. I always leave a good tip but the server was not attentive to her customers. For me to leave a 10% is really bad. I will never come back to this restaurant again. The thing that bothers me the most is that the restaurant wasn't even busy. It's a shame that your server ruined the experience. I will not be recommending this restaurant to...
Read moreThe Al pastor taco is good. It is savory and flavorful. The cecina (seasoned steak) taco was also good. Unlike the carne asada taco, the cecina taco is a large single piece of flank steak. It was juicy and tasty. The barbacoa taco was not that great. The barbacoa tasted very earthy and bland. I did not like the taste of it at all. It was very fatty, and not seasoned well. The chips and salsa were good. Each table has pickled vegetables (carrots, jalapenos, cauliflower) in a container. The rice and beans were good, nothing special. The service was disappointing and took away from the dining experience. Right when we walked in, we were not greeted. There is no sign or indication that you have to seat yourself. A lady just spoke to us from across the room and told us to find a seat. The food came out hot and fast, but the server was not very talkative or welcoming. She barely spoke and never checked up once the food arrived at the table. After eating, there also was no indication that we had to pay up at the cash register, so we sat at our table waiting for our check which never came. It was impossible to get the attention of someone as well, which I would understand if the place was busy, but there was literally two other people in the restaurant with us. We also ordered a churro and the cashier was annoyed that we added another item as we were about to pay; she actually sighed out loud. The churro was terrible, it was warm but very stale and old. Overall the food was good, but I will probably only order food for takeout...
Read moreThis was our very first experience at this establishment and definitely our last. We walked in and was not greeted by anyone and attempted to seat ourselves at a booth. The table and bench both had food on it and we had to ask the waitress to wipe it down. We ordered Horchata which was missing nutmeg or cinnamon but was still tastee. Our meals came we ordered carne asada which was tough, dry and flat as jerky. Both my kids ran to the bathroom with diarrhea and tummy aches as soon as we got home. We barely made it to the door. My steak fajitas was chewy, my chicken was not seasoned with anything but salt and all of our rice was hard, dusty, broken in little pieces and dry. It tasted like we got 3 day old refrigerator rice. We dined but our drinks came in paper cups and our food was served with a plastic pack of utensils. We ordered a steak burritos suizo, that came with only cheese and no sauce! The chicken quesadilla was basicly plain unseasoned chicken pieces and cheese. The salsa served with chips was spicy. We received 1 little slice of avacado with our food. Beans were decent as rice inedible. The best meal was my babies chicken nuggets and that's sad for a supposedly authentic Mexican restaurant.
Update 6/8/24 My baby woke up crying with a major stomach ache, vomiting, and a fever. I was in the bathroom next. We were all very gasy last night. This placed should be closed down!!! This place was not crowded when we arrived so visit at...
