Pottery Barn — Local services in Manhattan Beach

I love this shop. I always work with Joan and she is so fabulous. I shop for many people and I need to know when I am in a shop that I will get the best care and service. This Pottery Barn provides this and Joan is my go to. This trip I was looking for little tables and they have so many. Also the always amazing pillow and throw collection and I absolutely adore the candles and dishes and well everything!! There is almost always some good sale and check the clearance items. I am happy to say ive shopped here and always felt safe as the store is clean they offer safe distancing practices and still remain friendly and you will enjoy your experience. I can count on this Pottery Barn to know their stuff and to have a wonderful amount of product on the floor. Some things are high up and they will bring them down for you and not make you just wait and wait till you walk out like other shops. They have a great team here. Call ahead and schedule an appointment if you need some serious design help then you will get some undivided attention. I love everything about Pottery Barn but Manhattan Beach service is not great. I have been eyeing an item from the website and been on the guard to get it when they have discounts for it. The few times it was on sale I tried getting it but website just lags and continuos search but never goes anywhere. Long story short I finally got it on sale but had to have it pick up to store. A few days they got it and it was the start of school so I got busy. Somebody called saying if I still wanted it call them back and they will still hold it for me. Literally after 5 minutes after they called - I called back only to be told they returned it when a guy said he will hold it for me if I call back. Also, usually stores with pick up services have an entire month or month and a half expiry for pick up orders. But not this store - it is just common sense that I bought it because I really wanted it or maybe to be given as a gift - but NO they had to return it like it was occupying a lot of space when you could just stand it flat on a wall. Totally no consideration for their customers sorry to say. I would have expected more...

Husband and I walked in to look around and found a comforter we really liked. The cool thing was that it was on sale. We looked at the display comforter, folded tge top to see how it would look. Put the pattern up to a head board that looked a lot like our bed frame and liked how it looked. 2 employees were kind and helping. The person who helped us at that register was funny and wonderful (wish I remember her name, but she had a British accent). There was on staff member who stared at us in a way that made us not want her to help us. She stared at us with a look of "what." We asked her a question and she answered with a cold tone, but it was very much a questioning look. As if she was wondering why we touched the bed spread. She also gave the look at another couple. Don't care for her name, but she was the blond with the "WTH" face. Ignoring her behavior, we bought our comforter and pillow shams and simply love what we bought.
