Booth Creek Wagyu — Local services in Manhattan

I usually serve prime rib for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner and this year we decided to go all out and purchase a Wagyu prime rib this year. I called ahead to order one and selected a “Gold” level one. There are 3 levels; Silver, Gold, and Platinum. We splurged and purchased a 7.75 lb. Gold level (boneless), for $400. I prepared this in the usual way; sous vide for 6 hours at 134 degrees, then finished it off briefly in the broiler for color. The flavor was good, but there was a band of fascia throughout the length of it that made it difficult to cut. All agreed that it was good but nothing special. We really had our hopes up expecting an extraordinary piece of meat. At the end of the meal, everyone agreed that it was good, but it wasn’t as good as the prime grade prime rib that I had been purchasing at the big box stores. At least I tried to shop local.

5/5 HIGHLY recommend!!! My husband went the first time by himself and came home speaking very highly of this place and the gentleman that helped him. After eating the steaks from here I had to experience it myself! The steaks were out of this world! So today is our anniversary so we decided to splurge and get ourselves some steaks to celebrate! I have to say I am impressed with the store and the gentleman who helped us, I do believe his name is Bryce if I read it correctly ( which I hope so cause he deserves the credit!!) He was so helpful and answering our questions and his honesty was appreciated. All the samples were delicious! Of course the prices are higher than your grocery stores but they still have reasonably (budget friendly) meats but you won't regret the extra money spent!! This is our steak shop (and more) from now on!...

Craig, Dani, and Lori were incredible at scheduling a tour of the ranch for my family and I. They take excellent care of the cows, have high quality systems and ethics in place, and were exceptionally knowledgeable at communicating to those inside and outside of the agricultural industry. Craig was especially accommodating during our tour and taught us about the grading system for their products. My husband and I have been purchasing their steaks for over 2 years now and are always beyond satisfied with their quality and customer service.
