I had the worst experience with the Lancaster Store. The prices are economical but the furniture is of poor quality. I purchased a mattress and box spring set for my son in December, and by April the mattress springs creaked and the box spring dented. I went to the store to get information regarding the warranty on my purchase. The store manager “Vicky” advised me to contact customers service with pictures to get authorization for the warranty exchange. Customer service agreed to the exchange but I had to bring the items back to the store myself. (Huge inconvenience!) When I returned to the store with the set “Vicky” would not honor the agreement to exchange. She was rude, unprofessional and lacked courtesy. I requested to speak with her manager so she called the General Manager “Reggie” who immediately agreed with his counterpart. He said he did not need to review any pictures or emails and that he knew Vicky for over 25years, so he took her word over mine. I was extremely appalled by the lack of customer service management presented in this matter and would not recommend anyone shop at this store. .......... Response to Owner Response!!!!!
The pictures sent to customer service clearly displayed any minor imperfections on the mattress and they where still willing to authorize the exchange. The problem came to being at store level. The store manager refused the return, after I already communicated the issues with customer service. No one ever suggested I clean the mattress or I would have done that before hauling it all the way to the store, to be rudely denied an already authorized exchange. For you to suggest reaching out to customer service again is an insult, as clearly management at store level doesn’t follow the same standard as your customer service team. At this point the inconvenience, lack of courtesy, unprofessional management, and let’s not forget the reason I’m in this situation, poor quality merchandise is the reason I will never go to this store again nor would I recommend it to anyone else. I WENT TO PUT DOWN THE REST AND WAS TOLD THAT MY LIVING ROOM SET WAS SOLD TO SOMEONE ELSE, I TOLD THEM I WILL COME THE NEXT DAY TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER, WELL THE NEXT DAY THE MANAGER CALLS ME TALKING ME HOW THEY WON'T GIVE ME BACK NEITHER MY $1000 IN CASH(WHICH IS THE WAY I PAYED) OR A CHECK, THAT IT WAS JUST STORE CREDIT. AFTER ABOUT 10 OF US AGUEING ON THE PHONE, I TOLD HIM I NO LONGER WANTED TO DOWN ON THE PHONE AND THAT I WILL PERSONALLY GO IN AND TALK TO HIM(RUDELY) I WENT IN, WE EXCHANGED WORDS, HE CALLED HIS MANGER AND CAME BACK OUT AND TOLD ME I SHOULD BE WORDS EXPECTING $1000 CHECK ON THE MAIL 7-10 BUISNESS DAYS. HE TRIED TO COME UP TO MANY DIFFERENT EXCUSES IN WHICH I TOLD HIM I DIDN'T CARE WHAT HE HAD TO SAY, THAT THE POINT WAS THAT I WAS TOLD TO GIVE A DOWN PAYMENT AND THE ITEM WILL BE HOLD FOR ME. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHEN OR HOW I GET IT, I HAD PUT A DOWN PAYMENT AND THEY HAD NO RIGHTS TO SELL IT TO SOMEONE ELSE. THEN HE TRIED TO TELL ME THAT HE COULD GET ME ANOTHER SET AND I SAID NO, THAT I ALREADY WENT ELSEWHERE AND GOTTEN ONE( THE SAME EXACT ONE FOR CHEAPER AND FREE DELIVERY. Read moreI would give 0 stars if I could. I have bought a couch set and a dining set from this company. This time, I bought a mattress. I was in a hurry to get a new mattress. My husband died recently and he spent his last months bedbound and I couldn't stand to have the bed anymore. I went in, tried several, and opted for one that I thought was comfortable. I was upsold to another queen, though I wanted a full size. A month has passed, and the mattress is sinking in the middle and I wake up every morning with horrible back pain. I am a nurse, and a good night sleep is necessary! When I reached out about the mattress, I was told that "comfort is not a warranted reason for return" and was basically told that after 48 hours, all sales are final. How are you supposed to know the quality of your mattress after only 48 hours? And now I'm out $1000 because they won't issue a refund. A good quality furniture store will take back defective products. And a good quality mattress will not have you waking up in a hole after only one month. I feel like this company has taken advantage of a grieving widow and refuses any sort of customer service resolution. I will not be buying from them again. I went ahead and spent more money at an actual mattress store and got a good deal on a brand name mattress with free delivery, 120 day try-out period, 10 year warranty, and a discount for being a healthcare worker, all for a few hundred less than this...
