I have never written a negative review for anywhere and I don't normally care to spend time writing reviews until now.
Agreeing with everything that this guy said below: "Cons: Very expensive for being treated as if you live in a college dorm. The management drive you crazy with all of the ârulesâ and then nickel & dime you for every penny possible upon move out as well as at the pool. The apartments are not sound proof at all, you will hear every bump from every neighbor around you. The apartments are also poorly constructed, and youâll get to know the maintenance team a little too well."
I share many of the same feelings that others that left low reviews below have already mentioned. I really liked the location being so close to Wegmans and everything in Lancaster but it was not worth it for the price of such a small space and the way the staff, specifically Leah, kept coming after me with one thing after another. Never had a single problem with the staff at any other apartment complex (non-luxury too I might add) I lived in before but she for some reason did. It has felt like a personal vendetta that she has had against me. She told me the plants on my balcony were 'distasteful' so I should have fewer of them and accused my boyfriend (who had already left for his deployment) and I of a male/female aggressive verbal fight. That came out of no where for something very serious to be accused of and she didn't apologize when I told her I have no idea what she is talking about.
Someone below wrote about their experience with The Crossings making them pay for new carpet for pet damage and I am dealing with that now. I lived there for 3 years and yeah, you're going to get some stains but Leah is the one who made the decision that it is beyond a professionally cleaning so without even giving it a shot, she is saying that we owe them even more money and we don't get any of our deposit back. Also, that $300 non-refundable pet fee literally is just money that they pocket. It does not go towards pet damages. It literally goes to nothing as it took several times of me asking them, "what does it get used for if not for pet damages?", and Leah said, it is an allowance to allow you to have a pet there...we also paid a $25 monthly pet fee so how does any of this make sense? That is the allowance to allow a pet there. I am very irritated with my experience dealing with the staff and really glad to not be paying them any more money for...
Read moreI absolutely loved staying at The Crossings!
If you are looking for a thoughtful, kind, and inviting community that goes above and beyond... this is the place to live.
From the very beginning, Karen, a representative of The Crossings was kind and helpful. It was the little things that made The Crossings so great... the handwritten note from Karen when I moved in, the nearby walking trail offering peaceful walks in nature, the Wegmans within walking distance, the small but equipped gym, the open meeting spaces, and the relaxing saltwater pool that I regretfully didn't take advantage of soon enough.
I enjoyed the e-mail updates and all the activities that The Crossings offered... from stocking a freezer full of ice cream at the pool, to Thursday food trucks, free beer, live music, and more. The Crossings was more than just a place to live, it was a community.
Every Crossings representative that I encountered was thoughtful and friendly---a real change from most apartment complexes where I have previously resided.
I do not own a dog, but The Crossings was super dog friendly... I loved seeing the variety of dogs walking around the complex. And they even put in a dog park recently!
The Crossings was continually making upgrades or changes to enhance each residents experience. They decorated the common spaces for the season. The pool had beautiful lounge furniture and this year they purchased luxury lounge floats to be used in the pool. When they were damaged by residents, they replaced them and respectfully asked for better care. I believe most apartment complexes would not have been so thoughtful. It was these all these small gestures and thoughtful communication that made living at The Crossings so great.
Side note... one of my favorite things about The Crossings was the balconies. I believe every apartment has a balcony and the diverse plants and decorations all across the complex...
Read moreLived at the Crossing apartments for one year . We had a 1200 square foot apartment on the first floor it was the noisest place I have ever lived in the walls are paper thin these are not luxury apartments at all.The dogs barking at other huge dogs outside my door in the early morning and late at night was terrible the noise would echo all over my apartment it was awful. My upstairs neighbors were loud and every time they walked I thought they were going to fall through the ceiling it sounded like cattle was living above me. We could hear eveything and I mean everything they were doing walls are paper thin . You would sit on your patio and watch inconsiderate dog owners let there dogs defecate right in front of you as your trying to enjoy your patio and not pick up after their amimals .You have zero privacy inside and out. Im an animal lover and have a cat but the animals they allow are very large and extremley aggressive and dangerous not to mention loud and echo in the hallways day and night . The property manager is very rude and not friendly and she stares at you and acts like she owns the place she shut down the pool on July 4th last year for her own private party on one of the hottest days of the year. The pool was probally the only good thing about living here very nice !! But the lifers who never plan on leaving are also very rude and would stare at everyone and act like the owned the pool it was so immature and low rent dealing with them when you do decide to go to the the pool. I moved here to live while looking at houses in Lancaster to buy I would say the location is great!! but thats it !! If your looking for high quality luxury apartments to live in look else where the Crossings are not high end or luxury it was like living in a ...
