T.J. Maxx — Local services in Mankato

I am Hispanic , and it is not the first time that I am followed around in a store by the staff just because of being ethnic. However, when I was at the store last weekend one of the workers was so rudely observing me as I shopped that , despite being a regular customer there for years, I will never go back again . This worker not only followed me , but she even hid behind the little passage by the cashiers to watch me as I shopped. This is offensive and extremely racist . I have never taken a single thing from any store in my life, and assuming that because I am not white I will steal something speaks very badly of anyone. There is a particular manager too , an older , heavy woman with glasses who has always been very rude to me . She always stares meanly at me , and has never once asked me if everything is fine ( even though she has asked people around me ) . Over all , this store is the worst place you could shop in if you are not white in Mankato . It is THE racist store extraordinaire . I will never , ever shop...

great deals usually love this place, today the cashier almost charged my mom $90 extra dollars because “someone else’s luggage” was on there. my mom kept asking for a rundown of what was all on the till and she just kept acting confused. then we thought she maybe double charged us for our towels and there was a new person standing there when we asked her if it was double charged she didn’t even say a word just glared at us. although we figured out on our own we were wrong about the double charge and we apologized and she just kept glaring. lol good store and mostly good staff a few rude...

Customer service is terrible. This is the second time I've been harassed about product returns. Each time the items are clean, unused, with receipt, and purchased within a few days. Employees are not empowered to brand positively and to build clientele if they are not permitted to return without hassle. Period. This time I even got attitude from management. I love this T.J. Maxx. It is clean and organized, and I enjoy shopping here. But I will no longer be spending our family's hard-earned income on product when I get outright disrespect from brand representatives....
