Potbelly — Restaurant in Mankato

I was given some of the most horrible drive thru service I have ever received. It Felt like something I would expect from McDonald’s but even they couldn’t screw it up this bad. It took them more than 25 min to get me a single sandwich and cookie which at this point I easily could of gone somewhere else but I already paid.meanwhile the employee and his “manager” act totally oblivious to my order and keep taking orders from inside. Then when I was Rudely given my order he said “sorry it took so long I added a lot of extra bacon and mayo” (as if this would make this situation better!!) which I replied : No thanks that’s not what I ordered just give me a refund I don’t want this sandwich anymore” then he said he needed to go “get his manager” which took another 5 min for them to figure that out. then he tried to give me cash 7.33$ instead of what was charged 11.33$ And took the receipt so I couldnt see the total. To which I say can’t you just put it on my card? Then he makes up some excuse about that’s not how the machines work. So then he gives me 3 more dollars which I say still isn’t enough change. At this point I realized how much of my night he had wasted and decided not to waste any more time over a dollar. But solely because of this experience I never intend to go to a potbelly’s nor recommend potbelly’s to anyone. I wouldn’t wish that horrible of service on anyone and am surprised that your standards of hiring are really this low. also being in the retail business have never seen someone more under qualified for Customer service. If you can’t even count change then how good are you to a job where that’s one of your only tasks! NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HORRIBLE STAFF...

Phenomenal sandwich shop with top notch ingredients. Everything is fresh and flavorful.

The staff is a cut above. They're always super friendly and very professional. Whether your going through the drive thru or dining in, you're going to have a nice experience. I do recommend dining in. The atmosphere is pretty cool with unique signage, interesting menu displays, and tons of local artifacts. It does a really good job of embracing the local history and sites. If you're looking for a great place to have great food, you can stop looking. You'll feel right at home here... something that is hard to say in the fast paced world we live in.

The food: it's excellent. I've tried a little over half of their menu. The "A Wreck" and "BLTA" are my two go-to's. Interesting selection of Zapp's brand kettle chips that always pair well.

They have a soda fountain and also tons of cold bottled soda. IBC cream soda and rootbeer on hand, which is always brownie points for me.

They even sell their signature hot peppers at the counter. 6 bucks to transform anything you make into a spicy, flavorful, and bold example. Definitely a zippy lovetap to the tastebuds. If you're not into spicy, they also whip up some tasty shakes!

I have ordered from here a few times now and have always been happy with the service as well as the food. Today I put an order in for my work (10 people) and the first lady that I spoke with was awesome to work with. She had no problem waiting (when I had a couple of other calls come in) and helped make recommendations when I was listing out the orders. Very happy with her service. After the food was delivered we realized that 1 person received only a cup of soup instead of the bowl that she ordered (that's all that she ordered) and another person did not receive their sandwich at all... I called into the store and the gentleman I spoke with was extremely short with me and said he would get an replacement order sent out immediately. This is understandable as far as the replacement goes but his tone of voice and reaction to what I was saying (it's like he was mad at me for calling in) was unpleasant... After I said ok to the replacement he hung the phone up. I understand that it was probably busy since it's 12:30 pm but that doesn't give someone the right to be rude. I would like to state that I am not unhappy with the food or the service with any other experience i've had but that gentleman was...
