Been going to this specific Big-Y for pretty much my entire life, as long as I can remember.
I love LOVE that this store has its own Small " Sushi area " where it appears that the workers there are making some Japanese sushi complimentary dishes like seaweed salad etc ( wether they're actually making it by hand there or not it's a great little area ! )
They have an amazing seafood section ! With fresh fish and products, they're able to fry you up some fish and chips right in the back , The Deli area is amazing ! Tons of cheese and meat options !!
The pizza area is yet another amazing addition to this store, they cook up fresh pizzas and they're actually great !! The party pizzas are a great deal but they can make so much more in those pizza ovens (:
They have a pastry and cake section which they can make you your own personalized cakes the way you want !
There's a pretty decent beer selection and single beer options as well for sampling, you can mix and match certain bottles into a six pack for its own price, Not a large Liquor selection at all if there even is one but no worries, right next to this Big-Y there's a package / spirits store so you're all set of you need liquor
They have a big selection of sodas and soft drinks, juice and shakes.
Very good baby food section, you can pretty much get anything your looking for in that department.
Very large ice cream, gelato and sorbet section of you've got a sweet tooth for daily treats !
They also offer a pretty nice health food section, a counter of sorts that is filled with fresh packed nuts ( peanuts, cashews, almonds, pistachios, banana chips, dried apricots and cranberries. ) A kombucha and health drink section right beside the vegetables and fruits.
This store truly has just about everything
I love this store but Big time heads up
GET A BIG-Y CARD or the prices are gonna eat you...
Read moreI have been shopping at the Mansfield Big Y for many years now. I shop for my family as well as my mom and brother. A few years ago I saw issues with the young new hires calling out when the weather was nice, leaving the staff short handed. Not having reliable associates, this is how this store responded. They started cross training associates so they could fill in at other departments when needed. They promoted valued employees and hired older more reliable employees. I am also greatful for their hiring of disabled associates. They are some of my favorite people! They started promoting customer service like nothing else I have ever seen. And THAT is what makes my Big Y so special. The deli department is so customer service oriented that if I am the only customer, a second employee will ask if I need anything else! The seafood department is just as responsive to their customers. I have made a point to tell these employees how awesome they are, because they truly make a difference! When I go to other grocery stores in the area, the customer service is severely lacking. When everyone in a store makes "you" feel like the priority, then that keeps me coming back, week after week. Thank you to all of the "My Big Y" associates...
Read moreI've reviewed Big Y previously but I must add stuff In my last visit- OMG! Always clean but this was SUPER CLEAN. Every shelf had products lined up like little soldiers. Variety of HEALTHY foods growing. The first time staff after staffer asked me if I found what I was looking for! Prices everywhere skyrocketing I'll only buy things on sale. Seafood continues to be FRESH. but gosh. $30 for scallops I cannot afford. I won't go elsewhere. I trust food will be safe...
I REALLY REALLY need Big Y to offer more NO SALTED ADDED snacks. Impossible to find.
Maybe a no salt added section?????? Instead I comb the aisles and I'm tired of it!!!!
Always a handicapped parking space open. Much appreciated.. Always CARTS available! Nice flowers 💐 at GREAT PRICES. Quality. Cared for. I love self check out.. Sometimes my shopping bags are at home. PLEASE ! Those paperbags we PAY FOR rip as soon as you pick it up. Can't we get better bags considering prices for FOOD? I'll pay $.10 a bag! Not good to get into bad mood when food falls out of ripped bags. Yes. Bring my own, but sometimes. I forget....
