Storrs Road Plaza — Local services in Mansfield

Update - I thought I was reviewing Big Y as that is what google asked me to review, months later I come back and my review is listed under the plaza so here is my review of the plaza. Parking is terrible - tight and confusing. The plaza itself seems clean and well managed, stores are full. A good mixture of shopping and dining in one plaza within walking distance to other plazas.

Clean, well organized store. Mostly friendly staff.

New line policy is ridiculous. If someone has one item there's no way I can let them go ahead of me, they have to wait at the end of a very long line and the front manager makes you go to the end of that long line, one line for self or regular checkout. There were self checkouts open but people didn't know if they could go since there's this long line and a lady telling us to come to this lane etc.... There was nothing wrong with the regular system where people manage themselves. We are smart enough to stand on the little stickers and not need a director to tell us we can get out of the line and get into this line.Why try and fix something not broken. Everyone in line was annoyed. It just didn't make...

I went to the Verizon in this plaza and was helped by Lynette. Literally the BEST experience signing up for a phone plan I've ever had! She was knowledgeable and helped me and my sister pick the perfect prepaid plan for us. Love the current promotion too, by January I'll be paying $50 for an unlimited verizon plan! What. Is. Life! I'm excited and having been with and tried AT&T, T-mobile, and PureTalk I'm happy to be back with Verizon which is truly by far the best of the best in carrier...

I wouldn't usually review a plaza in whole however as I thought on the topic a little I realized that I was there to shop at big Y, make a stop at the liquor store and the last time my wife and I were there she got her nails done at the nail shop and we enjoyed dinner at The Fenton river grill. Every one of these was a pleasant enough experience from ample parking to the service we've always recieved. This is why I was more than happy to recomend the Storrs Road...
