TLDR: The staff here are either incompetent or this place is trying to scam you.
In February of this year, I called the Inn on Storrs to book a reservation under a wedding block for just the night of a wedding happening in April. When I received the confirmation email from the Inn, I noticed there were multiple errors on the confirmation including my address and credit card carrier information. I emailed them about these errors, however, never received any follow-up. What I failed to notice was that the reservation date was made, incorrectly, for the day before the wedding instead of the actual wedding date. This was my fault for not noticing, I take responsibility for that. However, they also didn’t follow-up about any of the other issues that I did bring to their attention. When I showed up on the day of the wedding, I found out that I did not have a reservation for that day and had been charged for the previous day’s reservation as a “no-show.” I was told that it was an error on their part and was assured that I would not be charged a second time for that night’s reservation. Turns out, they did end up charging me for both nights, either by accident or on purpose, I’m not sure. But I was charged for both nights even though I only spent one night at the hotel and was told I’d only be charged once. When I realized this error, I sent two different emails that went completely unanswered. I then called the Inn on 2 separate occasions and was told that the manager was unavailable but would call me back. No one ever called me back. Finally, on the 3rd attempt, I spoke with the manager who basically spent 5 minutes telling me that I had completed two different reservations (I did not) and she would need to “look into the case further” and “couldn’t guarantee a refund.” She was very rude and never once apologized for the situation. This conversation happened at the beginning of June and I have yet to hear anything back. Almost two months after the fact and I have yet to receive any refund or follow-up regarding this situation. Read moreWe would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone, and especially not recommend it for wedding. We stayed here for a wedding in June 2022 and I called to book a room in the wedding block a few months in advance. When we tried to check-in, they could not find the reservation (despite me having a confirmation email). We eventually got our room, but it took a long time to check-in. Other guests also had this problem, causing the wedding to start late.
We got back to the hotel after the wedding around 11pm. We walked to our friend’s room who had checked in before the wedding. His key card was not working and we could hear the shower running. It turns out that while he was at the wedding, the hotel gave his room to someone else (despite the fact that he had already been to his room and left his stuff in there). The hotel did not have any vacancy so he ended up having to drive over an hour home. He never got his stuff back. When my girlfriend and I went up to our room, our key card did not work. At first the guy at reception said we could not have our keycard because our room flooded. However, after telling him all of our stuff (including needed medications) were in the room, he gave us a keycard and said we could grab our stuff. Turns out there was no flooding. There was also a guest at the front desk (not in the wedding) who had his room given away while he was out despite having stayed there with his family for over a week.
Several of the other wedding guests ran into similar problems and ended up having to drive home after midnight, despite having rooms reserved. No additional accommodations or discounts were offered, and no one received an apology. I have never experienced such mismanagement from a hotel.

When I booked two rooms asked for second floor. My daughter got there before me they told her no rooms near each on second floor which I had requested at booking
She was brought to two rooms which were in satisfactory and smelled
Then brought her to 109!and 111 Key didn’t work previous problem we had in past
She went to desk got another key
Room had no extra chair to sit on in 109 had a precarious hassock
When I got there to 111 no chair some kind of midget chair
All nite laughter in hall
Heat noisy and banged all nite
Got up took shower no hair dryer I was freezing hallway freezing Went to front desk she told me she me she would look Went back she said she didn’t have one I had to wait for housekeeping to come in Went back again and she said did u look here and there u said yes so she said she would come with me No hairdryer where she thought but should be she was baffled She left meanwhile I was freezing she finally opened another room and I dried my hair there this was a proud of three v hours I have to say she was courteous and tried but she was all alone doing job Of 5 people Where was the owner he could of at least been there to help her
Rooms were very clean but at 72 I donot need that aggravation no one Does U want to be compensated for my miserable stay.
