Whole experience was a bit disappointing. The letter stickers barely stuck that I got so I had to get more of them since some were completely defective, and I just went two days not worried about them not being there because the website said they were in stock and there was plenty when I went last, but there was none when I got there. Completely understand that things happen and the count could be off but staff was not that helpful. The girl at the counter wasnât doing anything at the time and I asked if there was any chance someone could check in the back just in case cause I was kind of desperate here and she said she couldnât leave the desk but there should be an associate in the floor. I let her know there wasnât anyone and she just was like yeah sorry I canât leave here which I get but she didnât try to call anyone to help. When I finally did find someone these three women were talking in a back room to the side and I waited patiently for when they were done and they acted like I was just kind of a bother. I just asked if thereâs anyway they could check in the back since I was a bit desperate and one of the ladies just goes yeah sorry the floor is all we have and wouldnât check for me. Then when I was leaving the girl that I spoke to at the register was helping someone in another isle..but couldnât take the measure for me when I asked when she wasnât helping anyone?
Working in retail I understand there is miscounts, company telling you that you canât leave the register, and knowing whatâs supplies are usually in the back room. But the fact that the girl at the desk didnât offer to either radio, call, or speak on the intercom to have someone help me, and then when I finally found someone they acted like I was bothering them, and then wouldnât help me, Is pretty unacceptable. Especially when there was probably only about 4 other people in the store and all 4 of the workers I saw werenât assisting anyone. Even when I would be busy at my retail job and I knew for a fact that there was nothing in the back room, I would still check for them even if it had...
Read morethis location doesnât carry ANYTHING useful outside of like three art forms anymore. itâs really inconvenient for an artist like me who uses many mediums because thereâs nothing for sculpting, linocut prints, or making decorative masks, for example, so Iâm forced to buy online and wait days until the items ship, often losing inspiration by the time the items get to me. Every time I ask for help locating something the employees are rude, especially the manager with the long purple-and-black hair. She always scoffs and acts like Iâm the one whoâs inconveniencing her, and not the other way around, even though Iâm polite. Itâs very intimidating. Also, this is the only store I know of nearby that sells as many art supplies as this, so Iâm at a real loss since I canât go elsewhere. I know several other artists nearby who also face this issue so I find the comments of ânot enough demandâ from employees here to be highly suspect. I donât recommend going here unless youâre very desperate or feel the need to be emotionally degraded by rude people. Iâm...
Read moreThis Michael's has been bothering me for the past couple weeks that Ive had to come here-- reason being, I tend to walk around michaels aimlessly looking for new ideas and things to get into-- WITH MONEY TO SPEND, however, I have been awkwardly followed throughout the store by the workers and the one security guard. Now, I understand that with school being back in session in a college town, they must deal with a lot of theft-- perhaps you should invest in a better loss prevention system, because I actually left without buying ANYTHING due to this 'rushed' feeling, and this feeling of being watched FAR to closely to enjoy myself . This is the closest crafts store. I'm able to get my basic art needs for school and small projects but they lack a wide variety of essentials that I have to drive 30 miles out of the way to get; for that I gave you 3 stars. I want to love this store again,...
