So I had called and asked for a price on just a gel polish with French tips on my natural nails. I don't go to get my nails done hardly ever because I have long, pretty nails. I just wanted gel polish to last through the holidays. The guy asked ke what I wanted so I said gel polish with French tips. Then he asked full set? I thought he was talking about my regular nails. Like I said, I don't go often enough to know what he meant. He starts working on my nails and asks if it's ok to trim? I said yes you can trim them, and again, I thought he was just going to trim a little and shape them up for painting them. He then hacks off my entire pinky nail. At this point I was livid... I only let him continue doing what he was doing because at that point I just thought it was part of the process. Long story short, I ended up with acrylics. Yes please cut off my natural nail and give me fake ass nails 🤬 After the whole experience I left. I have a thyroid condition that gives me really high anxiety and impossible to be in confrontational circumstances so I didn't say anything while I was there because I just wanted to get out of there at that point because I was unhappy that my nails were gone and given fake nails. I finally called an hour later only to be told that she did feel responsible for what happened, but I had to come back in that day, or the next to fix the issue. There's no nail left to fix.... I asked if I could wait until my nails grow back so I can come back in to get what I actually wanted. She told me no because then I would wear their nails until then and that's just not right. Firstly, it's your fault that the guy did this to begin with. Secondly, the way to fix them is by doing exactly what he already did so I don't get why I had to go back in so fast just to have these removed to do basically the same thing he already did. I just wish I could have been offered the services that I really wanted at a later date instead of making me come right back to fix them the same way. It wouldn't be my long natural nails that were...
Read moreWent in for a fill and new color and this is what I walked out with. The owner (which I didn’t know she was at the time) started ripping my nails off and said they needed fixed because they were coming up underneath. I told her after she removed three of them-because it was happening so dang fast, that if she was taking them off that I didn’t even want new nails on just to remove the rest of them. So in doing so she continued to rip the rest of the nails off even though I told her that it hurt. If you notice my thumbnail is so short because she ripped part of the skin with it. At the end she didn’t even talk to me I had to deal with some random guy standing in there who told it would be $10. I told him I would pay half price seeing as how they took half of my thumb nail with them. I then had the pleasure of dealing with the owners daughter who was arrogant and refused to listen to my concerns about how her mother ripped my thumbnail off- instead of giving me the option to soak them at that point. The owners daughter tried to tell me that soaking would take too long so that was the only other option. I guess you get what you pay for and this piss poor excuse for customer service goes out the window based off of time. I then asked who I needed to talk to because I was unhappy and the young arrogant girl flipped her ponytail and said “I’m the one you deal with my mother is the owner and shes the one that took your nails off. Talk about a spoiled brat. I don’t know why I just don’t go to JJ Nails like I have in he past- at least when they’ve messed up they have listened and fixed it. Oh well, lesson learned. Take your hard earned money and go spend it on a business that actually...
Read moreI don't wanna go here anymore. Good Luck getting a regular polish mani-pedi! I have been coming here for about a year. I am respectful and I tip well. However, I have never felt this bad about a salon experience ever. My nails have been getting really thin from always wearing gel polish and having it filed off here. I need a break so my nails will grow back strong. I saw they had regular polish displayed on the wall so asked for regular polish for my feet and hands. During the pedicure, my technician kept saying something about not putting regular polish on my nails and only being able to do it for my toenails. I thought there was maybe a language barrier issue because what he was saying didn't make any sense. He and another guy kept trying to upsell me over and over to some kind of gel polish service on my hands. I flat out refused because my nails were already thin and weak enough. After my regular polish pedicure, the technician told the owner I wanted a regular polish manicure and he was told no. None of this made any sense and no explanation was given. Is something sketchy with them doing regular polish services? Do they feel regular polish is beneath them? Or, do they just not care about the health of your nails and want to get you stuck in an upsell loop? It was frustrating and I just paid for the pedicure and left. I actually had to drive to another salon and have them do my regular polish on my hands. It was 15 minutes of work that I had to go somewhere else to have done. I was beyond angry. A mani-pedi is supposed to be a relaxing treat. This was anything but. I decided not spend anymore money where I can't get basic services handled in the...
