We have lived in the area our entire lives and never tried this place, but our other Chinese place that we used to eat at just isn’t what it used to be anymore. We decided to give this one a try and I am SO glad that we did! It is such a hidden gem. Don’t let the location fool you. We have been back three times since trying it and every time it exceeds expectations. They have the BEST crab rangoons, the dumplings are beautiful and delicious. Everything we have tried here so far from the noodles, to the bourbon chicken, the sesame chicken and more has been absolutely delicious. The sauces are so smooth, light, and packed with flavor— not too heavy or sugary like some places can be. I have never felt bad after a meal here (some other places have way too much sodium/sugar/ grease etc. in the food and it makes you feel gross). Everything I have tried is cooked beautifully, feels clean, and authentic. The people that run this place are so kind, hardworking, and put so much care into their food as well as keeping the environment inside clean. I can’t say enough great things about this place and wish I knew about it sooner. I hope they stay open for a long time and more people find...
Read moreI’ve always loved this place but they are now so stingy with portions, last night I ordered The Mongolian beef which is only supposed to be beef. green onion and chilis no other veggies, it came with a couple pieces of beef and the rest was earth worm size slivers of onion and peppers which isn’t even something that’s supposed to be in this dish and their menu shows a photo of beef and green onions but most of my container was WHITE onion and green BELLPEPPER hardly any beef hardly any green onions, when I called to complain they wanted to argue talking about he weighs out the portions, like HELLO MY DISH WASNT EVEN SUPPOSED TO HAVE THOSE VEGGIES!!!! Everything else we ordered was great but the lack of caring for the customers satisfaction def made them...
Read moreMy parents and I were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the General Tso's Chicken and the Vegetable Fried Rice we ordered. We had to wait a bit outside since they have partitioned off the vast majority of their dining area and only have a takeout window and a small space for you to stand while looking at the menu, placing your order.
This was our first time eating here although we were frequent customers of the previous Chinese takeout in this spot, Lee's Ancient Wok. Although New Hot Wok doesn't quite match Mr. Lee's cooking, it was very good and better than the vast majority of Chinese takeout places I've eaten at and we will be stopping again when we are in the area next. Sad to see China Club/Mark Pi's is no longer...
