In-N-Out Burger — Restaurant in Mansfield

The dining area and mens restroom was very dirty with trash all over the floor. Half of the dining tables were dirty. We ask the cashier to send someone over to clean our table numerous times. We waited about 10 minutes before someone came over. When the staff member came over to clean the table, he seemed bothered to have to do it. With my 35 years of experience with In and Out in Eastern LA County. I have never seen a restaurant this unkempt. I have worked with the company as a City employee for 9 years, and I have knowledge of the company motto of always taking pride of the food, service, reputation and always taking care of the staff. I moved to Tennessee in almost a year, and we were visiting Texas and took advantage of our opportunity to Eat at the restaurant we loved so dearly in California. The food was spot on, but the in dining experience was terrible. I dont know how this 1 employee was ever hired based on high company standards. This particular time, we dined at 2 different In and Out. The restaurant in question was next to a Macy's dept. Store in Texas. I don't remember the city or the street. I always like the burgers here, I have to eat gluten free for medical reasons so it's one place I can go that's usually safe. I get the Double-Double Protein Style with the spread on the side (since the spatula touches bread, I can't eat the spread, so I get it in packets). I also get the fries well done (which means fried twice, or longer, so they're a bit crunchy and not so soft). I like getting the fries here because they're just potatoes whereas places like Chick-fil-A or McDonald's make a batter then press that batter into a "fry" (check the ingredients!).

My only issue with this location is that there's usually something wrong or missing from my order... last time all I got was tomatoes, meat, and lettuce! They did fix it and gave me a gift card, but it was frustrating having to wait again for a new order. This time, I didn't get my spread... thankfully I had some at home, so I didn't go inside to get some. I'd like to see a bit more attention to detail, however, they do a good...

It was about two years ago that In-N-Out dethroned Whataburger as my favorite fast food burger place, and this location is the prime instrument of that conversion. I have been here several times for lunch (it is my customary spot to use when I take friends to lunch), and it is always spotlessly clean, with superlative food, reasonable wait times, and friendly professional employees.

I mentioned that it is spotlessly clean- nearly every time I am there there is a gentleman named Tom who is constantly visiting tables throughout the restaurant to clean, and he also offers to take empty baskets and trash for customers. He obviously takes great pleasure in doing his work with excellence, and he is always an encouragement and a superb example.
