Cabral Jeep Service Department in Manteca is AWESOME! DO NOT go to Tracy Jeep for services on your vehicles. Unless you want lazy technicians and advisors that don't do good work. Go to Cabral to save yourself time and major headaches.
Went to Cabral Jeep to fix the shitty work Tracy Jeep did, or I should say, didn't do on my mom's Jeep Compass. The partial work that was done, was half assed and not good at all. Here's what Cabral Jeep found.
Invoice said wiper tank was good/full. Also stated they filled, but the tank was empty. It's a free service and not difficult. The tire we wanted fixed cause of a slow leak, still has a slow leak. It has many pin holes throughout, so the tire is not worth fixing. They did not inform us about that. Only plugged the 1 hole we knew about. They also scuffed 2 wheels along the edge. Looks like someone scraped a curb pretty good. And of course, nothing was said about that.
But here's the BIG one. After telling them our main concern are the brakes, THEY DIDN'T FIX THEM! Thankfully we didn't pay for the brake services, only paid for the half assed work that was done. The front pads were less than 3mm and started grinding into the rotors. The rear pads and rotors were completely shot and also needed a full replacement. We were told by the advisor we'd get a call later that day, Wednesday, but we never did. He did call Thursday and apologized for not calling us the prior day. That was the one good thing that happened at Tracy Jeep.
He went over the other services that were getting done... NOT ONE WORD ABOUT THE BRAKES!! When we asked, his response, "I'll look into it and talk to the tech." He gave us very little details about the services being done. He then said, "your Jeep will be ready later and we'll call you." Again, the rest of the day passed, we never received a call.
We called early afternoon Friday to know what the status was. The person we spoke with, not our advisor, said "they just got to your jeep, it will be ready for pickup later today. You'll get a call from us when it's ready." We never received a call. We called again Saturday around the same time. The person we spoke with, again, not our advisor, said "it's ready," with no other details and very little information from them.
Also, our advisor really loved talking about himself, rather than trying to connect with us. When he finished up the initial paperwork the day we dropped our Jeep off, he went on and on (about 45 minutes) about his prior jobs and his life. I'm there to get my car fixed, not hear about a random guy's life experiences.
He had issues when filling out info on his computer. He asked another advisor numerous times to help him out. At that point, I thought maybe he was a new employee, since he was having those issues. Found out he transferred from another facility. I would think he would know how the system works, since he worked at another Jeep facility as an advisor... but apparently not. He did not make me feel comfortable at all, a 40 year old male. I can't imagine how uncomfortable my mom must have felt, if he made me feel that way.
Again, do NOT go to Tracy Jeep Service Department, unless you want to feel non important, have damage done to your vehicle, and if you like to leave your vehicle longer than needed. Almost 4 full days, and only 1 call from them. We had to call them and ask the status of our Jeep. I always thought that was the advisors job. They have ZERO customer service skills and the techs are lazy as well.
Cabral Jeep is SO MUCH BETTER! They treated us right from the get go. Our advisor, Daniel, kept his word and called us the same day we dropped it off. He went over everything in detail and answered all of our questions. We picked up our Jeep the following day... a day and a half later. To do twice as much work as the other facility.
We felt way more at ease and comfortable at Cabral. They care about their customers and definitely did a great job. We will be going to Cabral Jeep in Manteca for all of our future services. I highly recommend them....
Read moreEver wondered what itâs like to walk into a dealership with a perfectly fine Jeep and leave with a rolling Christmas tree of dashboard lights? Well, look no furtherâCabral Motors in Manteca has mastered this rare art form.
I brought my Jeep in to simply replace the battery. Before starting the work, they ran a full diagnostic confirming zero issues. Smooth sailing, right? Wrong. Immediately after picking up my vehicle, my dashboard was lit up like Times Squareâwarning lights and notifications flashing about problems that werenât there when I dropped it off.
Assuming theyâd own up to their mistake, I returned right away, expecting a quick fix. Instead, their team immediately played defense, demanding $500 more for a fuse replacement (caused by their battery swap) and that's not counting the labor cost. My wife spent hours on the phone with them, but they refused to budge, so I decided to meet Robert, their manager, in person.
Robert confidently pulled up their latest diagnostic, pointing proudly at the blown fuse like it was evidence in their favor. I politely explained that since the diagnostic confirmed it was not blown prior to their battery replacementâthe only logical conclusion was that it was their mistake. Robert, clearly not prepared for logic, proceeded to give me the worst analogy of all time: âIf you had surgery and the doctor caused another injury, the doctor wouldnât be responsible for fixing the new injury, right?â Um, what? Pretty sure malpractice suits exist for exactly that reason, Robert. He seemed completely baffled when I pointed this out.
Throughout our conversation, Robert refused to take even a sliver of accountability. He flat-out dismissed any responsibility, choosing instead to trust his technicianâs word blindly, despite clear evidence. It felt like dealing with an old-school âgood olâ boyâ network where right or wrong the customer never wins. Eventually, he basically told me to take a hike and made it clear he didnât want or care about my business.
I left wondering: did Cabral Motors intentionally sabotage my car hoping to squeeze more cash, or did they accidentally mess up and just refuse to admit it? Honestly, neither scenario is comforting, and both are equally awful.
Bottom line: if youâre looking to turn your perfectly functioning vehicle into an expensive, blinking mysteryâCabral Motors is your place. Otherwise, steer clear and save your sanity...
Read moreVery poor customer service. I purchased a used a truck here that was missing 2 parts an air vent and a plastic cover for the jack. A guy named JOSE called me and left a message that the parts were in and wanted me to call to set an appointment to get these parts installed and when I called to set the appointment he said that they didn't have the parts and they had to order them and they were going to call me when the parts came in. About a month passed and no one called me. So I called them and a women said they had my parts and didn't call me because it supposedly "slipped through the cracks". She told me to set an appointment and I explained to her that I probably wouldn't be able to make it to the appointment because I work 6 days a week. So I asked her if I could set the appointment and if I were to miss the appointment I would be able to just pick the parts up and install them my self. She said that would be fine and said I could just walk in and pick them up whenever I had a chance. So I go in today to pick up my parts on a rainy day because we don't work when it rains and when I get there a guy I believe it was Jose, told me that I couldn't pick up the parts and install them myself because it's "warranty" work. He did nothing to resolve the issue what so ever he just said they couldn't give me the parts. He did not try to talk to a manager to see how we could resolve this issue. This dealer just wants to sell you a vehicle but does not try and help you out when it come to customer service. I Do NOT recommend this dealer to anyone. I expect much better service when I spend $35,000 on a vehicle. I hope they get there employees in line and not lie to their customers just to get them to hush. We've purchased over 10 vehicles at the Dodge dealership in Modesto and have never had any problems with their customer Service. DO NOT purchase a vehicle here. Go to Central Valley Dodge on Mchenry in Modesto instead. They will treat you right unlike...
