Save Mart — Local services in Manteca

In the am when they open they sell these prepped breakfast burritos… sausage, chorizo, or bacon. Well sometimes when I go in there are only sausage or chorizo made. I’ve only gone once and have seen all three different flavors of meat prepped and ready to go for sale. I prefer the bacon personally. Along with the choice for my entire family including children. Well at times I go and there is not a single bacon burrito made or ready to go. Nothing prepped. Someone back there in bakery deli is not doing their job back there because I highly doubt all the bacon breakfast burritos are getting sold out every morning by 8:00am like not even a single burrito will be available. They only have chorizo or sausage which I hate both. The chorizo is too heart burny. Can y’all ladies not be lazy please and at the very minimum put a couple of each meat out not just one flavor please. Save Mart would make more money. They lose my business most mornings because you deli bakery ladies fail to have those hot and ready breakfast burritos ready to go for the customers after they drop their children off at school. Plenty of times I have had no choice but to take my money to el Forastero instead.

One woman told me I can always call and make sure they’re ready before I get to the store

It worked once

The next time I called asked if any were ready

A rude person said no

And I said can you make some and she said no

Whatever is out there is what’s available

That was rude

Which was only nasty chorizo

Don’t be so lazy that you make 10 chorizo burrito hoping they’ll sell but they’re nasty so they don’t and you sit there and won’t make any other flavor

Wondering why they won’t sell

El Forastero costs twice as much for twice the size and in my opinion way better burrito, more authentic. Add refried beans 😋 you’re welcome ✨ don’t forget to grab an horchata better yet don’t, more for me🥰

Rosie I believe might be a new hire but she works deli bakery and she is amazingly kind, friendly, funny, my entire family enjoyed her customer service. She is professional and can make you feel comfortable with her happy go lucky nature☺️👍 Thanks girl for the experience of kind friendly service which apparently is hard to find nowadays lately especially in such a busy rushed town as Manteca, California.

It's save mart what can I say. The manager is very nice, extremely friendly 😀 nice to my children ☺️ we have a lady who works here who is our favorite 😍 she's super sweet! My 9 year old will help bag if there's no bagger at that specific checkout and I'm sure they appreciate that. There are at least 2 ladies who will compliment her on her help. A bigger old guy working cashier a couple days after Halloween a bit rude and unprofessional, witnessed him arguing with another co worker 😔 it was extremely unprofessional and immature. There's customers there come on we don't care about your work drama!

I have been going to the Save Mart on Yosemite Ave for over 30 years, so I have seen it go through many changes. In my opinion Save Mart was ruined when they remodeled the beautiful produce section and turned it into a giant liquor aisle. The produce itself is now so inferior because their misting and spray system is extremely inefficient and only catches some of the vegetables, which are not staggered out at all and can only catch some of the spray. Obviously they sacrificed nice produce for using less shelf space. You can see how the lettuce and various vegetables are wilted as they sit there and the spray misses them. One of the reasons I have always gone to Save Mart is because they had fresher, better produce. Now when I go home from shopping there I often have to soak the vegetables to rehydrate them before refrigerating. Also, I took the time to download and register with the Save Mart app in order to get a digital coupon on one of their sales. When I got to the counter the cashier told me that I wasn't registered with them and so I couldn't get the discount. I wasted 10 minutes on my phone getting this coupon and I displayed it to the cashier, and told her I just registered, but to no avail. I will never bother with another of their digital coupons. My other grievance is with the deli section. When I ordered fried chicken breasts I have been given their fried chicken thighs instead. Not only is it a cheaper product but it is loaded with fat. I do not want thighs. This has happened to me several times. It's extremely aggravating and I feel I have been cheated, especially when I was substituted four thighs for four breasts that I asked for. One older lady in particular has no customer skills and has done this to me twice. I cringe if I see her coming to wait on me. I think I will just leave if I see her coming from now on. Save Mart, although high-priced, used to be a pleasant shopping experience. They have some good sales from time to time. Now it's hit or miss between helpful, nice employees and a sourpuss old lady...

If I could give it no stars I would! My cake order was taken down last week for my sons graduation event. The lady didn’t give me a slip to bring upon pick up. She said just give your name and your number and the baker will give your cake. I get a phone call the next day from a different baker advising me that changes need to be made with my order since the first assistant took it down incorrectly. I was grateful that someone had called to retake the order. Same question was asked as to the pick up process and she said the same; give your name and phone number and they will give you your cake. Event day….no cake order to be found!! I was super livid. My husband was there for over 30 mins trying to see if they could find this order. Finally they said give us another 30 more mins and we will put one together for you. Yes thank you but no thank you. You messed up the order even when trying to fix it!! Cake was lop sided and the filling was incorrect. Horrible customer service, racist as hell, and zero idea of what the hell the employees are doing. Never again will I go...
