Today I went to Rainbow of Maple Heights in search of a dress . I couldn’t truly enjoy my shopping experience and I couldn’t figure out why . Not to mention he ( the manager Mr. James) didn’t acknowledge me or other customers while they were entering the store.
Granted , he was training someone.. but wouldn’t you want to show exceptional customer service while you’re training a new employee??!
I begun to shake and feel super uncomfortable. Finally I asked the manager short , bald black guy and alittle heavy set with glasses was he the manager about a year ago. He shared that he was . He was very nonchalant and completely unprofessional.
I shared with him distressing experience at this location that directly involved him and impacted me . I feel compelled to share due to my experience today . ( I hadn’t been back in this location since the accident till today)
While shopping, I unexpectedly passed out. My best friend asked the manager if we could use the restroom because I wasn’t well.
He hastily shared “ that’s not my problem and we don’t have a restroom , NO” . Then I passed out and hit my head on a shopping rounder . I later learned , today that he is the store manager and his name is Mr. James. My best friend and Sorors called the EMs, which is where I regained consciousness.
From the information given to my support system from the EMs workers and the Police that was present with me at the store they said , the manager had absolutely no concern and no comment. They were disappointed by his complete lack of respect and concern for his customers.
Unfortunately, the manager's response was far from helpful then and today while I was sharing my concerns and my story.
Instead of offering support or calling for medical assistance, the manager seemed indifferent to my situation.
This lack of compassion and basic customer care was incredibly disappointing. In an emergency, one would expect the staff, especially the manager, to be trained and prepared to handle such situations with kindness and professionalism.
Regrettably, that was not the case here. I urge the upper management of Mr. James to reconsider their approach to customer safety and staff training to prevent such distressing incidents from happening to others.
Today , as I politely reviewed my past experience with him he remained utterly un phased, completely nonchalant and rude as he shared “ Well your ok now … so what was I supposed to do ?? You had a people there helping you “ .
Also when this incident occurred my brother Darin left a review that is also posted on this forum.
This terrible experience and his lack of customer service and compassion helped me remember why I stopped going to this location. It swiftly reminded me why I drive to the shaker location.
Although, I was literally shaking and almost in tears while sharing my experience with him. He held tight to being completely unsympathetic and rude and exposed a continued a lack of empathy.
I’m proud that I was able to speak to him politely and with confidence. Praying that this doesn’t happen to anyone else again.
I hope that upper management recognizes the importance of safe, effective and responsible management personnel. It’s clear that this location lacks all of the above or atleast Mr. James does.
Unfortunately from reading reviews it shows that many customers still share unfavorable experiences...
Read moreI’m not sure everybody has a bad day, normally I love this location, but the young lady on the floor today was so rude & hostile, I simply said excuse me while she was helping someone else just let her know I was there, ignored me I said just one more time some people don’t hear, and I seen she was busy on the other side of the store didn’t want her to have come way back over , lady looks at me & says looks at me in a stance and says “ I herd you, I’m clearly helping someone else right now”, I polite say I’m sorry I wasn’t trying to be rude just wanted to let you know I was there before you walked off, says nothing else helps me but with an attitude, the young lady she was helping says wow , another customer needer her help and after seeing that, he says excuse me I’m not trying to bother you i don’t want any problems I just wanted to ask you a question
This is her job no one should be spoken to that way, and no one should feel like there approaching a beast when trying to get help from someone that’s there and getting paid for just that, iv never expected to be so disrespected for being respectful , customers shouldn’t have feel they have to come with an offering of peace to approach someone that’s there...

Called them back yesterday & today and for two days they say a supervisor is going to call me back bcuz they can see it was sent...but they can't tell me a day or time. So this is how they treat their customers. At this point y'all can keep it I just won't be shopping at any of your stores any more. Went there on Sat July 15th and purchased 3 items that totalled $57.22. I asked for and showed the lady my military ID for military discount. So I called today the 17th and asked if I could get my discount if I brought in my receipt. They going to tell me that I have to bring all the items I bought back and I'm like I wore them for my bday. So then they said I couldn't get the discount bcuz I wore the items .. even tho I'm not trying to return them. Y'all made the mistake not me. Won't be shopping their anymore. Don't like their clothes anyway bcuz they put the theft tags right on the clothes so soon as they remove them you automatically have a hole in...
