Dion's Quik Chik — Local services in Marathon

I tell you what, buy gas anywhere... It's gas. Looking for a true island vibe with chickens running around, incredible delly / hot counter with authentic local faves ... Including the best chicken around ( I had it for Thanksgiving dinner once ) ... And they assure me that they are not from the parking lot. Anyways the place is busy in the morning, everywhere is, good coffee, good prices, incredible staff that works through a crowd. Hey if you're all bunched up about how long it is taking to get to Key West.... Well up till now you've been in the fast lane baby !!! It only gets slower from 7 mile on down. Do yourself a favor and stop in at Dion's. Grab some great chicken, coffee, or cool island food... ( I just point... I have no idea what they call it... I call it good ) spin the radio dial to something local and enjoy the views. Relax, you're on A1A for a reason... it's time to live where nothing moves fast. It truly does exist... Embrace it. And if you want to move fast go...

I have been eating at Dion's chicken for over 20 years in Marathon.Ever since the opened back up the have stopped cooking and serving my yummy chicken livers. I have stopped in many times over the past year and they never have them. So I quit buying gas there and I quit buying anything else there until they get my chicken livers back because it's on the menu and the staff there refuses to cook them because they don't want to do it. I wish they had the old staff they used to have before the shutdown after Irma. Even when I go to the kitchen and ask for the chicken livers they shake their heads no like they don't make it anymore. It is on the menu it is always been on the menu it is a locals favorite and it is a shame that they do not want to serve it anymore because they don't want...

I would give a 5 but the same lady I think yola or something will NOT make anything on the menu only what is in the warmer already made! I met Dion in Key West years ago and he said if anyone in his building tells people no to let him know and they would be fired! If you read this Dion she always says no there is only 1 gas station worker that tells her in Spanish to make what I want she has had to tell her 3 times if the one lady that makes her do it isn't there she refuses!...
