In a rush and frustrated after a long day at work I came here to get a quick dinner and some trash bags. Took me ten minutes just to get through checkout and on my way home I saw I was charged full price for a marked sale item. I returned to the store and waited for the customer service checker whose name was Kalee or something similar. Visibly frustrated I approached the counter and informed her I was overcharged for an item and I even retrieved the tag from the shelf for her to make her job easier. She said to me, “ You don’t have to get crappy!” I told her I wasn’t and was going to say I’m just having a bad day when she interrupted me and said snootier “yes you were!” At this time I told her to get her manager because I don’t deserve to be insulted as a customer. I hadn’t cursed at her or raised my voice so why should she insult and argue with me. When the manager came over I informed her of the transgressions of her counter girl to which she nonchalantly said “ok” rolled her eyes at me and proceeded to refund me the money. I am a three time combat vet and every fiber in my being wanted to yell at the oxygen thieves however I asked if the store manager was available. The “manager” who had no tag or shirt actually differentiating her from the other employees told me “ He is on vacation” I admit I am an intense person and I was frustrated but try 3 deployments to a hostile area and try to be normal when some counter girl outright insults you. Maybe they should mandate additional training on how to handle stressed customers by saying, Sorry sir, I will fix that right away for you. Instead of just arguing or saying “ok”.i will never return to this store or any of its chains. Maybe it’s the me generation or the lack of proper supervision and training but this store just lost a loyal customer due to attitude. I worked in customer service and got screamed at and cursed out and I would never have responded in this manner....
Read moreNo matter the time or the day of the week, you can always count on Needler's Fresh Market to be clean, the employees to be polite and helpful, and a large selection of products. Although some of the brand name items maybe a bit pricier than Big Box stores, the private label equivalents are economically priced and taste just as good. Also, their produce and fresh meat rivals any other store in town. The best part about Needler's is it keeps the atmosphere of a neighborhood grocery. Part of the reason for this is their ability to retain employees long-term. Frequent shoppers are on a first name basis with most of them, creating the feeling of being more than...
Read moreRight off the bat walking inside I was shocked by the squalid state of the store. Everything was overpriced, the restroom was DISGUSTING. With no soap in either of the dispensers, & I had to ask 2 different people just to find someone who would change out the soap and when he went to the supply room there was none AT ALL! I would know because I personally had to go back there and look myself to no avail. The guy who helped me was kind and obviously stressed about the situation as well as the guy in the meat department giving me sanitizer seeing my distress. Although I would not recommend to anyone EVER. Will NOT EVER be going back. Waste of my...
