My wife and I had interviewed several different companies for our first floor renovation project. We wanted to take a very traditional layout (i.e. formal kitchen, dining room, etc) and modernize it with a more open concept to create a better functional space for our family. The project entailed removing a wall and soffits, as well as making additional adjustments to gas and water lines.

After meeting with Chris @ Not Just Kitchens, we knew he was our guy. He was able to take our laundry list of wants and fairly quickly create a 3D rendering of our vision. Even when we threw out some other ideas that we wanted to explore out of curiosity, he was able to make changes on the fly and present them to us. Before we ultimately decided on Not Just Kitchens, Chris even brought one of his contractors (Edgar @ Luna Construction) down to ensure that the project could be completed as proposed.

The end result? We couldn’t be happier with the incredible kitchen and first-floor renovation done. From start to finish, they were professional, detail-oriented, and truly exceeded our expectations. They transformed our entire first floor into exactly what we had wanted, if not better.

Communication was excellent throughout the project; Chris was always available to answer any questions or provide updates. The craftsmanship is outstanding, with attention to even the smallest details. The entire crew was punctual, respectful, and kept the work area extremely organized and clean, which was much appreciated when you are living without a first floor for an extended period of time. When little things popped up after the major construction was completed (such as additional hinge limiters for some cabinet doors), Chris himself came out to take care of it. We always felt like Chris was a “partner” to us in this project. He was dependable, reliable, and accountable.

We had a wonderful experience with Chris, Giselle and Luis from Not Just Kitchens. They really do much more than just kitchens. They started with updating our basement with new flooring and paint. We then moved on to our main floor where they did a complete renovation of our kitchen, added hard wood floors and freshened up our existing floors. Painted and installed all new lighting.
