I had a very pleasant experience when buying my first firearm. The two gentlemen that assisted me were very knowledgeable on policies and local, and state laws. The process was smooth and relatively fast given the fact that they were also selling to two additional customers aside from me.
To the dude who bought a defective bb gun you really should know the return policies when purchasing anything. Clearly on dunham's website as well as throughout the store, it's posted that ammunition and firearms cannot be returned to the store. A bb gun is a gun which is also called a firearm, thus, cannot be returned. Being less than impressed by staff for upholding their policy and or law is ridiculous and makes you look like an entitled, uninformed idiot. Simply calling the manufacturer probably would have resulted in a new bb gun being sent to you. Warrantees usually cover defects in workmanship. I truly hope that it was resolved.
Again, to the lady that purchased a crossbow for her husband, you are upset rhat you contacted the manufacturer and THEY provided you bad customer service, not Dunham's. This is a review of the Dunham's store inot the crossbow manufacturer. I hope your issue was resolved since as well.
I have nothing bad or negative to say about the selection of items, or customer service of the staff at the Marquette Dunham's store. I think it by far is the cleanest, most put together Dunham's I...
Read moreHow can I describe Dunham's Sports? One word: Meh. I get a "box store" feel from Dunham's which is to be expected. Clearly the staff is "just reporting to work" and they are generally nice and as helpful as they can be. The firearms area is well stocked but not well staffed nor trained well. Dunham's cooperate policies are atrocious as well. To be honest, the experience gave me one of those feelings I don't get often.
Prices on non-firearm related products vary a lot. Some are clearly 10-20% higher than even some small stores which is counter to the box store buying power theory. Then again there are some great prices on other items. When they clearance boots, clothing that can be a good buying time. Clothing and shoes are generally well stock unless you need a 12W boot. Choices are good on some items but weak on others. Prices are high on hunting clothing but that can be blamed on fades. I will still go back there but I like the smaller stores better. Thanks for letting me checkout the hunting rifle but I think I'll buy from a locally owned small store even if I...
Read moreDo NOT purchase a firearm here. I have gone there 4 times in the last 10 days only to see a single customer service person working the counter with 10-15 waiting to even examine a firearm. On all ,4 occasions I waited 30 minutes and did not even receive an acknowledgement of my presence. I will find another outlet to purchase the rifle and safe I was waiting to actually purchase. The store is severely understaffed and while observing the single employee assisting the customer who by good luck was actually receing some service, I noticed the clerk making several errors in the screening process, and going back to...
