Hong Kong Buffet — Restaurant in Marquette Township

This place was way better than I expected! SUPER clean seats and tables - even under the tables - no used napkins or old egg rolls under your seat! Even the salt and pepper shaker, and soy sauce bottles were all clean. So, I was impressed! My husband is chinese and he was equally happy with it! 👍

The actual buffet line was wiped down every few minutes and the utensils were changed when needed. The food was hot, fresh, and they kept up with it - spot on. It was actually very good food, and different that what you might see at other buffets of the same nature. Awesome peanut chicken and the egg rolls were fantastic!

The greeter was adorable; very gentle and friendly in her address to all the customers. The servers were polite, gave timely refills and took plates frequently, but they were never intrusive.

Overall, I would have given it a 4.5 if I could, only knocking off a bit because the bathrooms were super old and fairly unpleasant. Not so much dirty, but pretty ugly and lacking in basics: updated locks are needed. And the place needs a deep clean. It's clearly been well surface cleaned A LOT. But it wouldn't take much to upgrade it for the comfort of the customers AND the staff. It would give the confidence of a cleaner environment. But that was my ONLY complaint. I hope the restaurant is this well taken care of all the time because I am so happy to finally have a GOOD...

Service was super friendly...they are always so incredibly cordial. I like the choices on the buffet...however this visit wasn't that awesome...Buffet at 7:15 pm lacking in good quality items...broke my own food bar rule...only go during peak times to ensure good quality and quantity. I did notice a sign that is somewhat offensive on this visit stating not to waste or you will be charged extra !?! I'm of the generation of clean plate, no waste...but I'm sorry, not sorry....if something is not quality or don't taste right...its getting left behind...not to mention thats the fun of buffets...to try new items! I'm not exactly sure how you can charge extra for an all you can eat buffet! The sign just cheapens the image of the place and is an irritant... I personally cant imagine people purposelessly wasting or leaving a bunch of food behind...and with the quality of the food this evening....most of it should've been tossed out n...

It's a 90 degree day today, they put us in the hottest room in the restaurant.

The general Tso chicken had gristle in it, the other chicken was hard.

I ate less than half a plate (barely filled).

The food on the buffet wasn't fresh.

The plates are dirty, as are the silverware.

There were fans on every light, and none of them were working.

The cashier was obviously not caring about her job in the least.

She didn't even care that we ate very little.

She also didn't care that the heat was enough in the room that we were literally getting sick from it.

She offered no discount at all.

The place has zero AC.

It was the absolute worst experience I've had ever there.

My wife actually threw up, and I am still nauseous.

We went to McDonald's afterwards and honestly at least McDonalds was a better experience.

The only plus of the Chinese restaurant is we got 2 fortune cookies, and that's not...
