My wife and I walked into this store Sunday the 3/19th. All I needed was a micro usb plug for my Brigadier Kyocera rugged smart phone and had a simple cost question about cell phone charges in Cancun which is listed as $2, per day while gone. As we all know, many cell phone plan and sales staffs are very ambiguous as they are deceptive ā and we simply didnāt want a week of cell usage to end up costing more than the vacation. After finely explaining to the friendly tall young man what a āmicro-USB ā plug cover was, he went down stairs to ask the ārepair guyā if he had one. Mean, while my wife and I asked a woman sitting alone looking at the screen on the north side of the building about our Cancun cell pricing question. We must have interrupted a facebook session, as her half-hearted mildly annoyed actions would indicate. She parroted our question and said āits $2ā . When we asked if there are any other connection costs, or other undisclosed and hidden costs, we were informed āYou will have to call Verizon Customer serviceā ! We mistakenly thought that is what this stores employees were. After a bit, the tall young man and the ārepair guyā came up stairs and he said they didnāt carry one. The repair guy said the sent their last one away and they could maybe order one, but didnāt know when it would come in. Getting the distinct feeling āa new phoneā was my best option if I wanted a functional phone in Cancun, told him Iāll get one at amazon for a couple bucks (2 day shipping) . I cannot speak for all employees there but this seems to be incredibly poorly run store and I personally wouldnāt trust them as far as I can throw them. There is a very good Verizon store by Walmart in Wisconsin Rapids or I would try the south side Verizon store if you want to stay local here...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a great experience at this Verizon. I came in to get a new phone and open up a Verizon acc/start a phone plan. Jacob was great. He was very professional and kind. I canāt remember what the other associates name was but I believe it may have been John? He helped me find a sturdy phone case and a screen protector! 10/10, would recommend this Verizon location to anyone.
Update: I ended up going to Verizon again to get my brother a new phone. It needed to be shipped/delivered to the store. Jacob was great, efficient, and so helpful! When I saw that the phone had been delivered to the store, I went in. I ended up being helped by a super tall dude (donāt know his name). The tall dude was informative and helpful. The only issue I had was the fact that he told me my total was 140.00. Iām like, huh? Come to find out, he tried telling me my total was 140.00 WITH a phone case and a protector. So, basically ā he was trying to force me to buy a phone screen and a phone case ON TOP of the activation fee. Look, I know you want to make money via commission but itās more respectful to ASK a customer if they would like a phone screen and a protector with their new phone, not tell them they are going to buy one. My plan was to buy a phone protector/screen protector on Amazon, not at the Verizon store. I ended up lying and saying I didnāt have the money on me to get him to stop telling me I was going to buy a phone and screen protector. Only then did he end up telling me the activation fee was 50 something. Thatās all I was there to pay for⦠nothing extra. Ask next time,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDont ever patronize this store. They credited a 50 dollar deposit to my bank account for a loaner phone only to cancel payment on it the next day. When I called to inquire about it I was treated very rudely by the female manager and also given false information. I was told I would have to wait weeks until 10-24-18 and if it wasnāt in my bank account by then to come back with bank statements proving I never got it. I called my bank weeks before and they told me the credit was no longer on my account. So I knew waiting until the 24th was a waste of my time. Guess what the 24th has come and gone and I donāt have the $50. Itās a 40 mile round trip for me to go to Marshfield and Iāve already been there once on this wild goose chase. I figure if I go back again to chase down the money they have stolen from me that will be another 40 miles. Iām working on using $50 of gasoline to get my 50 back from them. I chalk this up to a lesson learned. Iāve purchased two phones from them. One of those times I let them up sell me a tablet with an extra phone line when I purchased a phone. I guess Iām saying I was a good customer and wasnāt afraid to spend extra on what they were pushing at the time. So youāve lost a good customer because I will never, ever use your store ever again and I will make it my duty to spread the word on your rude employees and shady ways. Just Donāt Do...
