Would give 0 starts if possible. Unethical, immoral, dishonest sales people that don't stand behind their claims. Customer service is non-existent. Scheduling a delivery is IMPOSSIBLE if you have a job. Went to buy an Ashley living room set I found online and thought I would support a brick and mortar place rather than an online store. Sales person would not even try to price match what I had found online. Instead would only go on about how long of a lead time there was and how no one is in your corner when purchasing furniture from the online merchants. Continued to go on about some custom furniture that they had and it only had half of the lead time. Went home to think about it and do some more research on the online merchant. Went back to the store to try and negotiate a price that I could afford for the custom furniture and "local" support. Was trying to get a price within $1000 of the set I wanted. Sales person went to "see what they could do" and came back with a price of only $800 more. Get to the paper work portion and he had left off 2 of the items that I had requested. I'm guessing to try and make me feel like I was getting a deal. Add on those two items and now I'm $1100 more than the set I wanted when I walked in. Sales person continued to promise that he would personally be following up on the order and let me know if anything changes. Fast forward to delivery. Called the Friday before my scheduled Monday delivery to make sure things were getting delivered on Monday Sept 21st. Was told the furniture was now scheduled for delivery the week of October 12th. Fast forward to Oct 12th. Called to confirm the date of the delivery and am now told that delivery is delayed unitl Oct 20th but don't worry its not a big deal its only a "couple more days". On top of the already extra three weeks. Customer service continues to tell me this is a "Manufacturing" delay and there is nothing they can do about it other than give me a gift card for in store use. When I pointed out and asked about their lack of communication and how it took me calling to find out the furniture was not getting delivered they tried to claim that one of their representatives did atempt to call me on the 8th of September and there is nothing more they can do. I have 2 missed calls and NO voicemails that day. Neither of which trace back to Furniture and Appliancemart and no missed calls from either number the next day trying to follow up their missed call. Fast forward to today October 19th. I HAVE NOW WAITED AS LONG AS I WOULD HAVE FOR THE CHEAPER FURNITURE I WANTED AND!!!!!!! I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL TELLING ME MY FIRNITURE IS DELAYED. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A TEXT, EMAIL OR CALL TO CONFIRM DELIVERY ON THE 20TH. I don't even want the furniture anymore, I just want my money back and for this TERRIBLE experience to be over.
Update as this was all written at lunch time. I finally received an email to confirm delivery for the 22nd. That will now be the 4th day I will need top make arrangements to be available...
Read moreNever Again. My wife and I purchased a gas oven range on November 6 hoping to have it installed and ready by Thanksgiving (November 25). Unfortunately, the earliest it could be delivered and installed was December 2. Two delivery guys drop off the oven range but can't complete the installation. We were told they needed an adapter (took them to the hardware store in town, purchased the adapter but still couldn't install it). At that time we were told we need to call the service department to have them come in an install it. The earliest date they could come was December 27. Service man comes to install and after about 10 minutes of trying informs us that WE NEED TO CALL A PLUMBER to install our oven range - there is nothing he can do. We replaced a gas oven range - with a gas oven range. Prior to the purchase we were assured it would be no problem switching out the current gas oven with the newly purchased one. The only question we were asked was whether we had a propane tank or we were connected to the city line (we are connected to the city - we live in Greenwood). The MOST DISAPPOINTING ASPECT of this whole process is that we are now 2 days short of TWO MONTHS from the original purchase and they have NOT followed up at all inquiring if we need assistance or offered any advice or problem solving to get this gas oven range up and running. I am not a person to write a negative review of a business but I have also NEVER experienced a purchase as poor as this one. Based on our experience I would highly recommend going anywhere else to purchase an appliance for your home. I have since read other reviews and wish I had read them prior to making our purchase. It seems as though our experience was not an...
Read moreI purchased a sofa and ottoman from furniture and appliance mart marshfield and at the that time I also purchased a FOUR YEAR ACCIDENTAL PET COVERAGE PROTECTION PLAN I paid in full that day $1,798.63 I filed a claim on 5-17-24 (7 months after purchase). It was denied due to EXCESSIVE PET DAMAGE, please see above for the name of the plan I purchased. I was notified of the denial and when I asked for it to be emailed to me in writing they reversed their decision and said they would fix it. They shipped new cushions to my house after I submitted pictures to them MULTIPLE times. A repair person came to fix it and said it couldn't be repaired without new fabric, because it was ripped. He contacted the office and said they would be in touch in a few days. THEY DENIED IT The Furniture and protection plan I purchased and PAID FOR IN FULL was the first big purchase in my first home. I thought I was I was being responsible and smart buying the protection plan unaware I was actually being taken advantage of---lesson learned. Denying a claim on a ACCIDENTAL PET COVERAGE PROTECTION PLAN when the claim is from pet damage is clearly your company taking advantage of people with misleading policies. In the future, myself, my family, and my friends will never purchase anything at Furniture and appliance mart marshfield, because they sell protection plans that are mis-leading and cannot be used. Furthermore whenever I do purchase Furniture or anything else in the future I will NOT be purchasing ANY protection plans since they obviously will not honor their policies and just want to get...
