Family Dollar — Local services in Martinsville

I wanted to give this a 1 star BUT gave it a 2 ONLY because the Manager of the store stepped up and took control of the situation!! So, the very unprofessional, rude and uneducated cashier that was running the register did not do a good job at representing her store or company!! She is uneducated or under trained because she had no knowledge of how to do coupon transactions!! She was rude because 1 CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT, 2 she said to me, the customer, i was being nasty and rude...excuse me I AM PAYING YOUR WAGES HONEY, 3 she told me she didn't care if I never shopped there again!!! AGAIN, EXCUSE ME, my money, not yours!!!!! So the issue, on her end, was that she isn't educated enough to do coupon transactions, didn't care to try and get help only kept saying i was rude and nasty. I went over my coupons in my car before going in the store, reading them to make sure I got the right products matching the right coupon, I did!! The rude, uneducated and unprofessional customer service representative/cashier had to walk away from her register and have her manager take over because again she isn't trained well enough to take care of coupon transactions. The customer service rep/cashier almost lost the whole transaction and money for her company because of her behavior towards a customer, me. Again, she walked away from her register and had the manager come over to "make it right". The cashier had my total at over 38$s, had taken items off my order and would not get help. Finally when the manager walked over and took over the situation, used ALL MY COUPONS THAT COINCIDED WITH MY PRODUCTS and I got my items for $24.76!!!!! My suggestion is if you shop this store....DO NOT USE COUPONS but if you do, make sure you stand your ground. They don't pay you, the customer, to go in and shop, WE THE CUSTOMER choose to shop at your store!! Will I ever shop at Family Dollar in Martinsville.....ONLY IF ITS THE ONLY PLACE OPEN AND THEY HAVE WHAT I NEED IN AN EMERGENCY, otherwise this store will NEVER get my business again!!!!!!!
