I have been coming here for over 20+ years when they were on the other side of 270 with a drive thru and the original owners. I order pork fried rice all the time. ordered it today and even though the website does not state this change with no peas and carrots in the fried rice, neither does the menu. So apparently we are just supposed to know to order it with. I order on order without which I always do the option "no peas and carrots" which is still on the online order. I called and she said we don't put those in that's why you didn't get them, I explained this was not showing as that on the website it is the same way online and on the menu as it has been for MANY years! She proceeded to argue and say it has been that way for a long time. they did not want to offer anything for the problems. Peas and carrots should not have been taken out as people are able to order without and know how so why change it and not change your menu or online ordering system to say it does not come w/ them any more?
Ever since the change in ownership we have found the food is not as good, which is hugely disappointing, the lack of care for the problems with their customers is also disappointing. They are the only place we have found pineapple chicken and for MANY years we have ordered it double chicken no veggies, pineapple stays, it used to be perfect now its like they double the pineapple and barely put double chicken, the sauce is not the same. Just seems they went down hill with the new ownership. I have wanted to continue to give them our business, but we have problems every time we order. I wish they would actually take their reviews seriously and realize the new owners came into a highly love restaurant and they are bringing their name down. We will be taking our business elsewhere.
we also got the crab rangoon-tasted like they were reheated from sitting out all day, chicken wings were so hard couldn't bite into them, and shrimp rolls are not anything like was a real shrimp roll is, its shrim wrapped in wonton paper and fried...anything we paid extra for we did not get.
ETA have have given them numerous chances and every order it gets worse. My whole order was messed up but after the call and her arguing, I screen shot their menu, online ordering, and took a picture of the...
Read moreEmployee flossing teeth at the food packaging area: I used to love the taste and low price of the food at this Wok Express. For this reason, I used to eat lunch there almost everyday, for the last two months. However, I had the following bitter experience last night (01-25-2011 at about 8:30 P.M): I ordered my favorite item 'Kung Pao Chicken Combo' for carry out and made the payment. Not many customers were there at that time. While waiting for my order to be ready, I saw a lady employee floss her teeth standing at the food packaging area next to the cash register at front. She was standing next to the food trays in which items like fried rice are kept. The packaging materials and disposable plates are also kept around her. Without realizing that I was watching, she happily flossed her teeth for about a minute. When she saw me watch, she threw the used floss into the trash bin right there and walked into the kitchen. From where I stood, I could see where she went. She went to the dish washing sink at the far end of the kitchen, spat into it, and washed hands (in two seconds, without using soap). Then she returned to the food packaging area at the front and started packaging the carryout food orders. she handed over my package. Since I didn't want to make a scene in front of other customers, I took the package, came out and threw it in the trash can. Summary: I paid $5 and purchased a 'nausea package' that is guaranteed to make me sick for the...

Got the Orange Chicken combo and a half order of beef lo mein-- $15 altogether for a lot of food
Orange chicken is well cooked and flavorful, with a very orange-forward sauce that goes well with the rice too. Also was surprised to find extra chicken under my rice for a pretty generous lunch portion at a great value-4stars
Egg Fried rice is fine, nothing special but also got the combination rice not a standalone full order. Could probably use a bit of onion to hold more flavor- 3.5 stars
Crab rangoons are very good, sweet and pretty cream cheesey. Well fried with a tasty wonton too - 4.5 stars
Beef lo mein is fine, a bit greasy without enough flavor to be really worth it, and the beef is a little too chewy- 3 stars
They were really busy for the lunch rush, so I can give them a little slack for that but still not ideal to wait 20 minutes for a to go order (on food that's already prepared) all of the staff were very nice though, seemingly family-run- - 4 stars for service
All in all a pretty solid strip-mall stop for local (americanized) Chinese food. The staff were certainly overloaded with online delivery or pickup orders, I saw about 10 of those get worked on while waiting for mine to get filled. Will likely try again, but will order...
