Waffle House — Restaurant in Maryland Heights

We always come here, literally 5 minutes away from my house. Every time we come we have a excellent time! great service, and great food. Last night there was two waitress and one cook. There was about two tables that already had there food when we came in. We were the first from the rush that was about to happen. There was no reason are food should have been burnt. I had the all star special and whatever my boyfriend had I think it’s called a Matty melt. My sausage was burnt and also his bacon was burnt, literally black. But other than that the food was fine. The waitress weren’t being professional at all, in the beginning was fine but once they started getting a rush it was all downhill. I didn’t basically told her about the burnt food but she was right in front of me when I said it to my boyfriend and all she said was sorry.. I get it, you see people coming it one by one and just the thought in your mine is it’s going to be busy and can’t handle it. But what I don’t get is using foul language, no refills for 20 minutes, and just the attitude. I also heard one of the waitress say “we don’t have soap?” To the other waitress and she said “no it’s in the back we are saving it for Thursday” .... I was in shock, my boyfriend was just fine till He say his bacon was black. Literally black. He began being quiet, just watching the cook, and hearing everything they were saying. not in the best mood at all because of this... then there comes the manager, she walks in and goes straight to the bathroom, she loudly with anger tells one of the waitress that there is urine all over the rim of the toilet. Remind you infront of customers... and started arguing back and force! I wish I was making this up! I really do. Coming home from Waffle House my boyfriend shared with me that the cook didn’t change his gloves till it got unbearable for him to where, then change them after. And also he just kept wiping his hands with his gloves onto his pants from the grease he had on them.... and lastly what upset it is both of never coming back to this Waffle House again... the waitress forgot someone’s eggs. The cook yelled at her to come back. Instead of scraping the eggs with a utensil onto the plate for the customer... he used his hands... no gloves... his hands... never again will we go to this...

So this was my first time eating at this waffle House and I just want to say that it has been a long time since I have eaten at one and I REALLY LOVED THAT I CAME TO THIS ONE FOR SURE!!!!! I walked in and it was really crowded and busy. I really want to say that the staff went above and beyond on every level without skipping a pleasant and exceptional beat of great customer service. Even though they had a packed house each employee worked well together. They also did the same for and with each customer. If I could I would give them a million stars and for me that says alot because I am somewhat a skeptic on eating out and truly finding a great dining experience. Then with the customers coming together singing made the experience a great dinning experience with a beautiful musical extra. I will forever be grateful for this experience because it was such a wonderful environment all the way around. This team of workers really deserve great things for all they achieved on this visit; The food was great, plenty of flavor and the portions were really fulfilling. I was really hoping to enjoy this experience...

It was so so so very dirty, the windows, the walls, the tables, the chairs, the bathrooms... etc etc etc...

We walked in, floors were dirty... it was lunch time so wasn't when it first opened so figured they must have had s rush... went to a table... it was dirty... went to the next and the seats had syrup on them... went to the 3rd which was the most acceptable of the ones we went to. The walls around the booth were splattered with yuck. There was stuff under the table... went to the bathroom and it was horrible.

The staff were nice and friendly but clearly run down and not happy about being there.

Food was... okay at best. I've gone by this waffle house since it was built saying I wanted to go there... but unfortunately I will not return nor can I recommend others to go there. 😕
