Firehouse Subs Dorsett — Restaurant in Maryland Heights

This is my favorite location for Firehouse Subs. I have always been able to go in and be greeted by staff that smiles and talks with you. It's not just, "Would you like fries with that?" here! (Note: They do not sell fries.) There is interaction and you can even joke with some of them and they joke back. (Note: They are still very professional, though!) If you visit often enough, they may even let you slide down the fireman's pole. (Note: No, no they won't. I'm not even positive there is a fireman's pole there, now that I think about it.) Oh, and the food has been excellent every single time. (Note: They did run out of unsweetened tea at closing time one night, and wouldn't make anymore. I didn't ask them to, but that's beside the point, right?) Every sandwich was made just like we asked, the cookies were soft and fresh, and the chips were, well, chips in a bag. (Note: I found that I like adding notes to my sentences. It makes the review more fun!) Go for the subs, support first responders, and see if they will let you slide down the fireman's...

If there were such thing as a no star review that’s what I would put. Worst customer service EVER. Not accommodating or willing to help, today was the free medium sub if your name was on the list. And my name was, but when I went inside and tried to redeem they said it was online only. Which on the terms it says with a valid ID you can redeem in store at a participating location. If you can do it online I would consider you a participating location. When bringing this up the workers were telling me they couldn’t because “we don’t do that here”. And I asked for a manager and got a woman who was talking on the phone and proceeds to laugh in my face while I am explaining that there is no way they can’t comp the sub?!? They have done it in store at this location before, she proceeds to say they took that option off. Doesn’t make sense. I just got refunded and left. Terrible experience and very unprofessional, will definitely not be going to this...

Firehouse Subs Dorsett went above and beyond to complete my catering order. I had an issue with the website the day prior and was unable to submit my order early. So I called in prior to opening and was pleasantly surprised that my call was answered and from the willingness to receive my same day catering order. I was able to email my order in, and it was filled completely and without error. They provided 17 customized boxed lunches and 2 custom salads, and despite being short staffed all the orders were completed accurately with high quality.

I have used Firehouse Subs Dorsett several times in the past and have always been very happy with the ordering process and quality of the food. In this instance I was astounded by the willingness to go above and beyond in order to complete my last minute order. I will not hesitate to use Firehouse Subs Dorsett on future catering...
