We are a family of 5 staying here for 4nights. 2 adults, 2 11yo boys and. 14yO boy.
Upon arrival I was a little concerned as they had the drive up area to check in closed to vehicles. When I entered to see if our room was ready (I did check in on the app) I was greeted by an employee and the desk. She said our room was ready and gave us a comforter bag with extra planters and pillows in case housekeeping didn’t get the message. The lobby area was bright clean and welcoming. We had a room on the 4th floor (437). I picked our room but not a great choice as it was the furthest from the elevator. Not a big deal we just used the stairs a lot. The downfall of that was our boys insisted racing down the hall when we took the elevator. Lucky they have a 10pm quiet time. Our room was spacious and clean. It must have been recently painted though, as Each time we entered the room it smelled as such. There was plenty of sleeping room for all of us. The beds were spring mattresses but comfy non the less. The boys said they were comfy on the pullout and one decided to make a bed of the chair and ottoman. We controlled our room temp, comfortable at 72 with the ceiling fan on. The bathroom services it’s purpose. It doesn’t have an exhaust fan and the door is thing. If you have to do your long business I suggest going down to the lobby. Towels are large and soft and we had nuetrogena shampoo and conditioner as toiletries. They we gracious about giving us more towels and hygiene with our large group.
The good stuff! The pool. My kids loved it. They had two large comfy chairs to sit in and then a dome table and chairs with an outdoor patio as well. The pool is not heated if you are curious. We also felt that it may not have had its chemicals level correct as the water was cloudy and highly chlorinated. They had fun none the less. The gym is spacious and well organized Equipped but some of the machines could use some tlc. The common areas- very clean and comfy. I spent a lot of time lounging on the couches and pillows and also outside on the patio. They had a gas grill which was clean to use. The bathrooms in common areas were cleaned and stocked. They have complimentary female hygiene and changing tables. The decoration is also modern and appealing. My kids took a trip downstairs and spent $20 at the convenience store in the lobby. They bought 3 sodas and few candy bars 😳 The vending machines were only for y and do not accept cash.
The complimentary breakfast was hot and fresh. Daily they had eggs (scrambled one day, omelet the next, biscuit and gravy or French toast, sausage links or Pattie’s. They have a yogurt bar, fry cereal, oatmeal, waffles, apples, packaged muffins and bagels. Plus a few other breakfast staples.
The entire hotel staff was pleasant. From breakfast attendant to housekeeping. I even helped them to help get a bird (there was 2) out of the lobby. It was a funny thing but I’m sure it’s not common.
We would definitely stay here again. There are plenty of stores and gas stations in the area. The locally owned restaurant located in a shared parking lot was also a great extra for us as well. Great food and prices. Hope this helps...
Read moreOkay so I really never leave reviews but this was very disappointing, we got the king room with pull out bed mr been here for six months and it seems to have gotten worse over that time period we first came it looked decent, but then you can see cracks in the walls dirt and gunk on the ceiling. Dust spots under the tables behind the couch counters, and the tables and nightstands. Everything was just dirty when you really looked at it really dusty the air-conditioning smelled musty, the closet door makes us horrible loud clank anytime we open at the bottom of the toilets falling apart all around the walls is nasty. The grout is horrible dirty. We pulled the fridge out because my son lost a toy and it was so full of gunk, the pull out bed did not come with any sheets or anything and the mattress is so warm my son feel like he was sleeping on springs stains on the carpet if you walk on the carpet, barefoot your feet turn black. Everything really needs wiped down and fixed then when I asked housekeeping to clean our room and vacuum it, they literally ran the vacuum in like three strips and then said it was done you pretty much have to clean everything yourself if you wanted to be clean there’s stains all over the couch and the chair. This is a dirty machine I wanna sit on it everything needs shampooed, the drawers that we have in the dresser in the room they all come out and don’t stay close. We had to tape them close any time you cook anything the smoke alarm goes off this was a very disappointing stay, and after all that time they seem to got worse the people at the front desk are very sweet, but the housekeeping does not do their job they don’t seem to care. Only thing really good about this hotel is the fact that you have a restaurant right next to you in a couple stores right around you other than that do not recommend staying out at all for the price you pay is not worth the quality you get. Went to the pool ones and it was dirty really nowhere for kids to play. Definitely not kid friendly and they don’t have any kids channels on TV. Then biggest problem I had with the staff was going downstairs for morning breakfast and Wednesday dinner. We would get a disposable plate, put food on it and go upstairs our room because I have a newborn and a two-year-old and I did not want to have to get them dressed ready, and then eat with everyone else and the lady by the food told me I could not take my food up to the room for me and my kids that we had to come down Here, because it was complementary that did not make sense to me at all and was very frustrating. Then they was having good meals and now they barely serve anything but a breadstick soggy chicken and a salad really nothing good to eat. The elevators are disgusting like they’ve never been wipe down fingerprints all over them. Everything is really...
Read moreWe stayed at this property as part of a "stay to play" soccer tournament last weekend; Confirmation #80557266. Where do I begin; the bright spots: The rooms were large, clean, and ready to check in when we arrived. The property was large so it fit the entire team, plenty of lighted/safe parking, and lots of public space for the team to have meals together if needed. The property was also close to the highway, restaurants, and the soccer facility.
Opportunities for improvement: I understand the line-level staff has little influence on hosting these events, however, leadership should ensure they are equipped to handle the minor needs of such a group. A chest of ice in the lobby for water bottles and tap to use would be a nice touch, perhaps even some Gatorade or gift bags would be an exciter/delighter? I appreciated my 2 bottles of water for being a Hilton Honors member, however. Are there onsite laundry facilities? Would have been nice to know for a quick uniform wash. All of these items could have been articulated by a welcome letter on check-in; great customer touchpoint opportunity missed here.. There was a nice common area off the lobby to use for team meals/meetings, however, it was clear that the staff did not want us there. They actually cited a "pest control" application for us to vacate the area at 10pm when the parents were watching TV/recapping the days games over a beverage one evening. We had pizza in the lobby one night after our games and there were no paper plates/napkins/utensils/etc to be found anywhere. Again, the staff made it clear that we were burdensome; I'm sorry the tournament selected your property for our accommodation. As the weekend dragged on, personnel were difficult to find, and not very understanding of basic needs; despite our efforts to ensure common areas were cleaned up/picked up after our team completed their event. No one available in the morning when we left at the front desk to say "have a good day" or "bring home a winner". No one at the front desk when we checked out to say "thanks for staying with us" or "safe travels home".
In closing, we did not have a choice about staying at this property, but I do have a choice when I travel for work and vacation, so I will ensure it's not a Hilton property, and advise others to...
