It's a cute little area with tons of cute charm. They have a market on Saturdays which seems very popular. I would not recommend going on a Monday as most of the historic district stores are closed. There are plenty of places to eat, from quick bites to full sit downs. We had lunch at the Irish pub, Grace O'Malley's, which has indoor and outdoor dining. A nice full menu and a great selection of foreign and domestic beers. We had the fish and chips and a Guinness beef stew, which were spot on and delightful. Staff were very friendly. You can eat and watch the train go by and enjoy the mural. A nice day out.

Sweet, historic little town. Several choices for dining, and some resteraunts offer patio seating. Nice library. Good on-street parking. Not far from/easy access to Independence Blvd/ Hyw. 74 and I-485 and Pineville, another cute small town. (Hyw. 51 = "Pineville-Matthews" for that...
