I’ve been shopping here since the 1990s, first on O’ahu then on Maui. I’ve shopped at cheaper furniture places, but I’ve noticed the quality of the furniture at Homeworld is better and lasts longer. For the most part the sales people are friendly, helpful. I’ve only had one issue with a salesperson who became quite dismissive when I was asking questions about an item that would need to be ordered. That item ended up being damaged when I went to the pick up site and had to be reordered. The store manager ended up offering a resolution for the extra long wait which honestly if he had not, I probably would’ve never gone back to shop there again. Since then I’ve purchased a few more items - art work, linens, wooden benches, under bed foundation with drawers and Lazy Boy recliner. All the items are working out great for us. Another thing I have to mention is about the pick up warehouse site that Homeworld uses. People there are NOT friendly and ALWAYS want to load your item/s still in the box and make you sign for it before you’ve had a chance to inspect it for any damage, missing part/s, incorrect item or color, etc. Do NOT just take and sign off on the item without first having the warehouse workers fully unbox your items FOR YOU, the customer. I know Maui people we no like make “humbug,” but you are the customer and it will be more humbug/more of a hassle if something is wrong with your item/s and you have to call someone and have to take it back and then try to resolve it. Wish there was a better place for Homeworld pick up site on Maui. The one on O’ahu is not like that.

Retail sales associate Arlene Richardson was very helpful with my purchase of a small Mayfair stressless recliner. She was attentive to my concerns (recovering from a fractured left arm) & very cordial. I would highly recommend her to anyone considering a purchase from the Kahului store. Mahalo, Arlene!

I was in a bind to obtain a pull-out sofa. They had 2 in stock and made everything possible for me to get what I needed. Since my furniture cannot arrive for another 2 months.

Called 3x without answers, then when connected the forth time calling Iasked that the busy sales associate please called me back for an order of $4,500 The call happened hours later only when I was already on my way to the store. They are asking for $199 delivery fee for a big furniture of $2,399 each. The second furniture is in stock at their Honolulu store so I ended up with $120+tax shipping fee even if it is transported in their mattress container which is shipped anyway. And I have to wait six weeks until they ship the mattress container. And I asked if a stopper for the door can be removed. The answer was that I got a flyer of a company to call them and ask them if they can do it. I already bought 6 big pieces of furniture at this store. Do you think that this is good...

Wonderful selection with very good quality furniture. But the best part is the help the associates provide! We started working with Arlene who provided impeccable service and information. When we went back the next day, Arlene was off but had passed the baton to Toni to help us. It was seamless and such a pleasure to deal with both of them We love the quality of the tables we bought and would not hesitate to go back to Homeworld the next time we have a need for great...
