Luana Moana Signature Oceanfront Maui — Local services in Maui

Wow, Just WOW… where do I even begin? This is the best secret on Maui. Located 9 minutes from OGG Airport on a dead end road (so there is practically no traffic noise) with a beautiful public beach (that only the locals know about) at one end and the harbor and aquarium on the other end less than a ten minute walk to either , You could not find a more central location for your excursions on Maui. And the unit… INCREDIBLE… The grounds are impeccably kept by the Manager Ivan (who I became friends with). There is a huge (4x8) elevator to access the unit and when you enter the unit, you are immediately taken back by the unobstructed view of Haleakala and the sound of the waves crashing against the sea wall not 50 feet from the Lanai. The unit is located on the second floor which offered me the security I was looking for but not so high that it would affect my view of looking out at the ocean. ( I like to look out, not down). The owner thought of EVERTHING… The first thing I noticed was there was no TV in the main room. Then, I realized they were purposely placed in the bedrooms to allow the energy of the ocean to fill the room. The unit has a streaming WiFi with USB ports and wireless chargers (I’m an Apple guy) throughout. The kitchen is the best stocked I have ever seen in any rental unit including a chartucchire board, a drip; a Kureg ; a French Press even a percolator. You name it and it is probably in that kitchen. Even the bathrooms have bidets and blue tooth speakers in the fan/mood light for setting the tone for a romantic shower. The unit even has an AED should you need it. Beech Umbrella, coolers, beech chairs, the owner has provided everything from Shampoo and conditioner to sunscreen and Aloe for a sunburn. You literally only need to bring your swim suit (She even has a toothbrush if you forgot yours). The art throughout the unit is beautiful, classy and flows. (You can certainly see where the logo came from.) My favorite activity was watching the Sunrise’s from the Lanai with a cup of French Press Coffee listening to the ocean and hearing the sound of the the birds and watching the turtles come up for air along the sea wall or a whale breaching in the harbor. I also enjoyed watching the sunsets from the same vantage point with a glass of wine. Denise, the owner is very informative. In fact I used several of her recommendations in her “Fav” book and was delighted with each recommendation. We came to Luana Moana for our first trip to Maui and it was not only a breathtakingly beautiful location but also the perfect home base for all our Maui exploring. It was 15-minutes away from the airport, Costco, Target and Walmart; and 5-minutes from the marina where our snorkeling tour started from. We used the Shaka Guide's Reverse Road to Hana tour and the starting point was only 30 minutes from Luana Moana.

The view from this 2nd story condo was breathtaking. Every morning we sipped our coffee on the lanai while watching the amazing views of the sun rising and humpback whales in the cove. In the afternoon we could sit on the lanai and watch multiple green sea turtles swimming along the shoreline.

The pool at the condo complex was just down the stairs from Luana Moana. The pool was very clean and was a nice location to relax in the sun and cool off in the water.

The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. It was very convenient to have a washer and dryer in the room. One washer sheet and dryer sheet was provided (we packed additional laundry pods and dryer sheets that allowed us to keep up on our laundry daily). Denise provided everything we needed to enjoy the Maui beaches including beach chairs, a beach mat, beach towels, a beach umbrella and snorkel gear. The bathrooms were equipped with all the amenities of home and then some including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, reef safe sunscreen, aloe vera and even a basket of extra bathroom essentials that may be needed. The beds were very comfortable and it was so lovely to leave the windows open at night and listen to the soft sounds of the waves as we fell asleep. Welcome to Paradise! We recently had the pleasure of staying at Luana Moana for the most relaxing vacation that I can ever remember. The home we stayed in was beautifully decorated local style but with many modern touches. The kitchen was well stocked with everything including: Keurig coffee maker, Expresso maker, pots & pans, rice cooker, and stemware for every beverage imaginable! The beds were so comfortable and had the most luscious sheets to slip into after a shower in the modern bathroom. One thing I truly appreciated was that everything (and I mean everything LOL) was labeled making it so easy to put things away after using them. The views from the Livingroom and lanai were breathtaking. We spent every morning sipping coffee on the lanai and watching for whales and ended each day with a beverage on the Lanai watching the sunset. There is plenty to do on the property from swimming, having a BBQ, reading in the quiet lobby, and even fishing right on the shore in front of the house! Denise is the most genuine hostess. From the first contact until the day we left, she was very responsive and provided so much valuable information. I loved all the information she shared about local transportation, businesses, restaurants, customs, and places to visit. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, Luana Moana is the place to go! Funny tidbit- we are late night people and never go to be before midnight but, we were so relaxed and slept so good not one night out of 10 were we able to stay awake...
