Although Target is clean and neat, their policies are the worst! Here are a few I encountered this past week: I ordered a special gift box on my shampoo/conditioner. It was on sale for 50% off so I ordered 3 gift boxes. They arrived today damaged. All three boxes were leaking conditioner. At customer service, I showed them the damage and asked them to reorder. Because the item is no longer on sale I would have to pay full price plus shipping AGAIN! My only options was a refund or keep the damaged gift boxes. No offer to adjust the price or to exchange out the damaged bottles. Also this week a special on $100 Apple gift card purchase came with a free $15 Target gift card. Then I saw the charge on my creditcard. I was charged for the free gift card. They didn’t apply it to my purchase. I’d say that’s stealing, unethical, sneaky, and customer service was no help. This is my last with Target. I’ll stick with Amazon and free shipping and no question returns.
This is an update to my previous one star review above. I recently bought an item from the shelving department. The box was trashed so I returned it in a plastic bag and the star of this review at customer service said no problem! She checked to see if there were more in stock and asked another employee to get it since I couldn’t reach it the first time. I waited about 15 minutes and that lady brought it to me. The paperwork work was already done so I was out the door. What an exceptional customer service agent. She had it all figured out to make me a happy customer and proceeded to do just that. I don’t have my receipt but if you could find out her name, I’d like to know it. My experience was a 10/10. She deserves a raise or promotion or both. I’m a...
Read moreThe recent changes in the self checkout lines that have now made them express for 10 items or less is absurd, as well as a waste of time for paying customers. Since you thought this was a good idea and i now have to stand in a line with a cashier and wait and wait and wait and waste my valuable time i have decided to now waste your time as well by implementing my own absurd policy. From this point on i will no longer place my items on the conveyor belt, instead, i will take my time by handing each item individually to the cashier directly, to insure there are no double scans and overcharging to me as so often happens when relying on careless employees. Also, i will now be paying my bill with loose change, and making the cashier take even more time to count each coin. Any future shopping i do at Target will be minimal and i will be sure to make my checkout time to take between 10-15 minutes to complete. This will also irritate not only the cashier, but also the other customers in line behind me, and hopefully persuade them to do their shopping elsewhere,as i would rather shop at walmart where they do not have stupid policies designed to waste their patrons valuable time. Perhaps abolishing the ludicrous, patron time wasting policy you have decided to make up for irritating loyal customers will bring back more shoppers, rather than discouraging them from patronizing your retail store. There is plenty of competition to give our money too instead of a corporation that sits around and gets paid to come up with...
Read moreI love Target, but this review focuses more on their false advertisement for breastfeeding centers.
I was out and about with my 11 week old and had planned to go to Target, but by the time I got close she was very ready to eat. I considered just skipping Target and going home, but then I remembered some marketing materials I had seen about how breastfeeding friendly Target is and how they have breastfeeding centers. I even saw a picture of a Target sign that boasted about their breastfeeding center with free snacks! I knew our little Target was unlikely to have free snacks, but definitely worth checking out. Right? Wrong. The "breastfeeding center" was literally just a large fitting room. All they did was put a sign on it as if to say "you're ALLOWED to breastfeed here." There wasn't even a changing table let alone a chair or trash can! Just an uncomfortable bench. To top it off, it was located right next to where the employees congregate, so we had to listen to the incessant "beep beep" "honk honk" of their radios which my baby did NOT enjoy. If you're going to boast about how mom friendly and breastfeeding forward your company is, I would expect to see at least SOME effort. So disappointing. I wanted to share in case some of you breastfeeding mamas find yourself in the same situation where it would make or...
