Was treated rudely. Iāve been shopping for all my regular groceries at Aldi stores for more than 10 years, and love it. Iāve been in the store before just before closing, and understand the practice of a walk around of an employee to give a 5 min courtesy warning of closing. Tonight I was finishing up picking out cheeses/ meats for a charcuterie board, and after an announcement of already being closed to the many people still in the store, an employee by the name of Maverick, came over to me when it was not barely 5 min after closing time. I had just pulled my last cheese block before I made my way up to join the line still actively checking out, as Maverick cuts in front of me in a very rude and demeaning manner saying, āIām going to need you to head to checkoutā, as he pulls down the curtain over the cheese section I had just barely pulled my hand from. Itās the attitude for me. When I looked at him appalled at his rudeness, and explained that I had just pulled my last block of cheese, and was in fact about to head up, he had no apology, looked me straight in the face and said itās just that their registers close at 10 after. While this may be true, it wouldnāt have been an issue, as I was about to join the small line at 5 after. Other customers filed in line behind me at checkout. I knew I had not been holding anyone up, and was intentionally aware of making sure not to when I went to grab the cheese. Had I been in Publix across the street, they would have come up to close the section, and asked me, āhave you found everything you need?ā There is a polite way to say you have to close the section now. Had he simply said āso sorry, but I have to shut this section down nowā evenā¦that would have been appropriate and received well by anyone. There are so many ways to choose not to piss ppl off in how you go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI enjoy shopping at ALDI. The prices are absolutely affordable and the selection of items are excellent However I have learned that you have to get to the store early because what you maybe gone when you arrive. More importantly, I do not like the fact that ALDI bought out Bottom Dollar stores in the north. They have better items, better produce and better prices and a larger selections. So with the new "brother's" store LIDL meat selection is absolutely horrible. I definitely will not purchase any "pre-packaged" meat from there. For future information I do not shop at Walmart either they are greedy. Basically the one concern is the lack of registers open at each of these stores.... more than three customers in line with a full food order should justify 3 - 4 registers to be open. Crazy.......
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAldi offers the highest-quality organic groceries you love, minus the typical retail markup you'll find with the competition. Selection is somewhat limited compared to traditional markets but they do have everything you need and most of what you want. And once you adapt to the quirky and quaint setup of the store the quality, value, and service will make it hard to shop anywhere else. My favorite grocery store! Best prices and high quality. Plus, you don't have to walk a country mile to get what you need. They have a great return policy with no questions asked. Checkout is efficient and the staff is friendly. I do 85 percent of my shopping here and I stop by Publix for the rest of my needs. I only wish they offered...
