If I had to sum up our experience in to words, they would be - SIMPLY AMAZING!!! We were in town for a soccer tournament and planned on trying a well known burger chain for lunch, however their inside dining was closed. I googled burgers near me and found Wayback Burgers. I called to confirm their dine in was open and inquired about the allergens that were in our party (peanuts, treenuts and shellfish) and we headed over. We walked in and our family friend and I immediately noticed how clean the dining area was and how fresh it smelled. There were so many appealing choices on the menu, it was tough to pick. The hot dog and cheesesteak were tempting, but everyone in our party chose burgers, fries, onion rings and chicken tenders. Our food was prepared fresh and brought to our tables by the owner. She was absolutely delightful! She shared with us that it's been tough to find workers and they are doing their best to stay open during the posted hours. The two young men that cooked our food had just started less than five days ago and we would've never known based on their perfection in preparing the food and hospitality. They even walked around the dining room checking on everyone asking how their meal was. I was thrilled to see that there were no nuts at all on their menu - not even the milkshakes which is rare. I wish we could take this location back with us to Virginia, however we will always look forward to visiting again when we return. If you're local or visiting, I encourage you to stop by and give...
Read moreThis review is for the location on Woodruff Rd in Greenville, SC. This was my first time ordering from Wayback. There were only 2 other guests in the dinning room at the time. Everything on the menu looked mouth watering. I ordered the classic bacon cheeseburger as a meal to a young man that didn't understand or hear my simple order because I had to repeat myself twice. Next came a 35 min wait of watching 2 employees prepare a massive amount of food with only 2 online orders being served, who arrived 10 mins after me BTW, I witnessed almost a dozen burgers sitting next to the grill with no takers. The crew members kept preparing multiple orders of food while mine sat there getting cold. I had refilled my drink twice by the time they called my name. I was hoping the wait was worth it and hoping the burger rivaled Five Guys. What I got was the most tasteless burger with undercooked bacon that made me sick to my stomach after 3 bites. It was a total waste of time and money. I hate McDolnalds but would rather visit them...

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I absolutely hate leaving reviews but here it goes..... My husband placed an order for our family and was charged for the food but when we arrived at the restaurant to pick it up it was pitch black inside because THEY WERE CLOSED! We still haven't received the money back for food WE NEVER RECEIVED. My husband gave up after calling three times (three days in a row) and not getting anyone on the phone. Oh and while we were sitting in the parking lot trying to figure out something else to get to eat a Door Dasher also pulled up and was shocked to see them closed. She had to take pictures of the restaurant to prove they weren't open so the customer wouldn't blame the Dasher and/or DoorDash for their order being canceled. Anyways, money wasted. We used to love...
