Planet Comics — Local services in Mauldin

I found this comic shop to be very customer-friendly and up to date. If you're one who is looking for Funkos, graphic novels, action figures, and more, this is a great place to come to. However, if you're looking for a 50 cent section, this place does not have one. They have a rack of comics all for a dollar but that's all. They have a wall of all the new comics from DC, Marvel, Image, and all the other publishers you can think of. They even have a star wars themed Monopoly set. It's very queit and peaceful in that store, it's wonderful. It's definitely not the cheapest but you'll find the comics you're looking for and even better ones. Highly...

I wouldn't call it planet comics when only 1/3 of the store is comics. Nice set up for a very small store and good stock on newer issues but not a place I would have on my weekly routine visit. My issue is the back issues and over pricing. No dollar bins, everything is marked to value and even overpriced past actual value including what is on the wall behind register, figs, games and statues. Seems like just another store that takes advantage of the customer by charging above market price. Glad I don't live here. Don't come here planning to fill holes because they sift through their comics it seems...probably weekly...

Guy working the counter is extremely rude and hostile. While browsing around I witnessed him shouting at a toddler who apparently touched a pinball machine in the store. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. He could have just said something to the parent without making a big scene and screaming at a toddler. Won't be going back there again.
