Excelsior Games — Local services in Maynard

Went in a few days before election day and told the clerk "Don't forget to vote!". Nothing more, nothing less. But apparently the cashier felt differently and told me that if you go around telling everyone to vote, then I run the risk of encouraging "the wrong voters"... I'm pretty sure I know exactly what they meant by that, but why? Granted I drive a truck with Texas stickers all over it (that's where I'm from) and I dress like a very typical blue collar guy, but as soon as I made what I thought was a harmless remark, the person at the counter just gave me the absolute nastiest look. Their eyes were so piercing, they reminded me of a troubling dream I had about my late grandfather years ago which still haunts me to this day.

I would definitely call ahead to make sure who's working before making the drive here, I don't think I could ever go back when that particular cashier is working. Everyone else has been very nice every other time I've shopped or browsed this store. Hats off to whoever makes...

Great space for fun gaming and learning - the knowledge is vast and the team there encourages even the youngest to learn the right strategies and stick with it. Pokemon games are now serious business around here and we go on Wednesdays with a group of 7 year olds. Older kids and serious collectors/gamers are also in abundance and willing to help out and play. I've seen board gaming, video gaming and MTG as well - also, Tiana and Bobby help oversee all trades to be sure they are fair and the pricing at the store is best in town. I highly-recommend Excelsior. The first day I visited, I was welcomed by the owners very warmly, and they talked about MtG, Pokemon and comics with my boyfriend and I for quite a long time. Very enjoyable conversation! This small business sells their goods at very reasonable prices, and I am extremely happy to support them whenever I can.
