I recently ordered from Thai Chili after a bit of a hiatus and hadnt tried it since new ownership. I was craving good Thai flavors and Thai Chili had always delivered on that front, so I placed an order. The food was a huge disappointment from what Thai Chili used to be. The larb had a toxic chemical flavor and tasted like burnt plastic had gotten into the chicken and was in fact inedible and had to be discarded. The onions were flavorless, the lettuce wilted and no fresh flavors. The ginger soup was nothing but sugary sweet with no flavor, even siracha couldnt save it, and the Bun (vermicelli with chicken) had no flavor. Even the nuoc cham was completely flavorless and tasted like sweet water with orange food coloring. Shameful. I had to season the meat myself amd doctor it up. The noodles were overcooked mush and none of the Vietnamese flavors I am used to in bun were there. Even the lettuce was no longer fresh but instead mushy. The tom kah was good as were the fresh rolls, however, i couldn't find the shrimp in them. To say that I wasted 73.00 on this meal was an understatement. I am not one to gripe about paying for good food, but this experience merited a good gripe as it was absolutely NOT good food. I would give negative stars if I could and I will not be ordering ever again. I am so saddened by the food that was put out by what used to be a wonderful amd flavorful Thai restaurant. Sorry, Thai Chili, that I had to have this experience and had to write...
Read moreWe love this restauraunt and go here a couple times per year. I tend to float around on the menu but my partner ONLY EVER GETS the Gra Praw! In his defense, it's really really good gra praw.
It's tricky to remember which restaurants offer rice included with entrees that are typically served with rice and which restaurants don't (like this one). It might help to remind customers to pick a type of starch at the earlier- when the entree is chosen. Especially if someone is ordering online "for a crowd", individuals who order entrees and don't include their side of rice have to then be circled back to "did you intend to have rice with that?" ... its just more work for everyone to circle back. Either include a choice of starch and increase the price of the entree or prompt buyers to select their starch when they pick these types of entrees on menufy (this is still more effort for the TC employee taking a phone order; they'd have to remember to remind...
Read moreNo complaint on their food but the girl's service as a waitress was very rude which eventually ruined our dinner.
I am very tolerant but last night was overwhelming. I didn't get her name but seemed that she didn't seem to be a waitress but did seem the owner of the restaurant. I, a party of 3, visited around 8:20 pm on May 25th 2021.
It is 15% of the food price regardless like or not her service.. To me it was not the service worth of 15%. I didn't like her service but still paid tip on the tab but she corrected me at the table that it's not 15% of the food price.
I was stunned and asked if there is a minimum tip rate and she said yes.
Nice try and intimidation in front of a guest.
Take out order and avoid her service while dine in. Or come in for dining in when she is not...
