Bitter after taste despite an overall actual pleasant purchase experience. Mark was knowledgeable and friendly when making the sale.

Couch appears to be good condition and is comfortable.

My negative experience comes from the actual delivery.

Couch was slid across the floor I just finished 10 days prior in expectance of couch delivery , 7inch width white oak french cut .

During the install of couch, floor was scratched in several spots. Which would not have been a big deal as I do hardwood flooring and could touch up superficial scratches easily. Mark was not aware of this and I pointed out those several spots to which not even just a simple , it happened sorry. Instead I was told a story about how someone made dents and scratches in his floor.

What made the scratch situation worse was that said scratches were unusually shiny which is not something that happens. From my own assessment , it seems the scratches were attempted to be covered up by using WD40 that I had out, which Mark and his installer used on the hinges of couch.

I did take pictures , and have buffed out and recoated those spots and scratches are gone.

My negative feelings are not about the scratches , it happens. It comes from the attempt to cheat and a poor attempt to cover up the scratches , and not acknowledge a minor issue , thus leaving me this...

I cannot say enough great things about this place and the customer service we got from the owner Mark. I have never felt more at ease buying a couch in my life! Our last couch was bought from Ashley’s and after a couple years it was soooo uncomfortable. We checked out the room place on a Sunday (Never felt comfortable, their employees barely even talked to us) so we left. Went to Mchenry home furnishings on Monday, Mark answered all of our questions and spent quality time helping us pick out the perfect couch! Nice little furniture store. They have an online presence as well. No high pressure salespeople. Mark, the owner, is very knowledgeable about furniture, answered all my questions.
