Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in McHenry

Arrived at this place at 8:32 pm ona Wednesday night. Online and the entry door to the place said they are open until 11pm. As we get out of the car at 8:34pm, the 2 female associates shut all the lights off. No courtesy to just even communicate with us as we tried to get their attention. 1 associate just walked back and forth in the main floor crossing the main entry way. I get it that there may not have been much business, but you could have stayed open until 9pm like the rest of the stores. Instead we get the lights shut down on us at 8:34pm. While we were there, there were 3 more customers that had pulled up and ended up leaving. Not a place I will ever go back to and or recommend. I am originally from the east coast and have many connections with DD folks .... after all, it is where the business started. These people steal from customers. When I buy a pint I’ve noticed they are never full. So last night after some really rude service I went home and weighed the pints. 12.1 ounces. A pint is 16. I weighed the other pint, 11.8 ounces. I’ll say again a pint is 16. I worked at Baskin Robbins as a kid, we weighed EVERY PINT! If you go to Crystal lake they weigh the pints. It’s almost impossible to cheat the store and give to much ice cream because of the size of container. It’s also impossible to NOT rip your customers off if you don’t weigh. I ordered a 2 scoop sundae with strawberry and chocolate ice cream. Originally wanted a Banana Royale but they said they don't make that and had no bananas. The menu says sundaes come with one topping (I got fudge) and almonds, whipped cream, and a cherry. What I got was 2 scoops of strawberry with hot fudge and nothing else. Didn't realize it until I got back to work, unfortunately. What a waste of money. She repeated my order back to me so it wasn't the person who took my order.
