Being a guy I do not often have the need for crafting supplies. However I was assisting my wife with a shadow box and we needed some spray adhesive to hold the backdrop in place. By sheer coincidence we found Hobby Lobby. As we entered the very well lit store our senses were met with an abundance of items that could fulfill the deepest darkest need of even the most hardcore Crafter. I made a comment that they have everything for a womans house but nothing for us mainly men that like cars, sports or hunting. Well. I could not of been more wrong. As soon as I made my snide comment, I glanced to my left and BAM! Car signs, sports signs, Manly items to leave around a house that will still leave your wife a sense of style while welcoming our testosterone filled bodies into a room. There were husbands wondering the isle of manly items as their wives loaded up on pumpkin spice ribbon, sugar plum vaces. There was even a Bear Paw toilet paper holder. Does it get any better than that? Nothing would make a man feel more at home than care of that business and having a bear hand him toilet paper!
I will now encourage and participate in more crafting with my wife now that I know this place exists! We did find our adhesive and our project was completed and is amazing thanks to Hobby Lobby.
Keep up the good job guys of supplying our better haves with quality crafting supplies and thank you for tossing us a few isles so we can also...
Read moreThis is both one of my favorite and least favorite stores. Favorite because I love crafting and decorating, AND I support the Christian beliefs they stand for. They have great sales and selection, too. My least favorite store because it (and EVERY ONE I have ever been in) are run very poorly. The employees are NOT there to help or make your experience there convenient - they have too much "work" to do I guess. I suggest you find out what day they restock the store and shop somewhere else that day! There are boxes and merchandise blocking the isles, and it's clear the customers are in the way. They DO NOT move out of the way for the shoppers. A well run business would restock the store before or after business hours and focus on the customers during operating hours. The store might be packed with employees, but be prepared to wait in long lines. Usually only 2 lanes are open. One for returns (but it takes TWO people to run this ONE register - a manager has to type in a code for EVERY return.) They might finally call for backup cashiers if a customer thinks to suggest it - they don't seem to notice or care how...
Read moreI experienced dishonesty and disrespect at this store. I picked up Super Glue without noticing that a price sticker was missing from the package. Marissa the cashier was so rude to me and wanted to make it my problem. I watched the store employees try to scam me out of $2 because they didn’t want to go to the isle and get the price from the shelf or another package. I ask to speak to store manager after this took place and she let the employee who was scamming the customer “handle it.” Karen, the store manager didn’t even apologize when I called until I mentioned I received no apologies from the cashier or “customer service supervisor” who told the cashier to charge me the wrong price. She stated she knew which customer I was and didn’t offer anything to earn my trust back. I know some people will want to ignore this post and reason it was only $2, what is the big deal? The employees were probably just having a bad day. It is a trust issue between consumers and the store. Enter at...
