My youngest daughter has been wanting her ears pierced and my oldest daughter has been talking about getting her first tattoo. I talked to both of them about how important it was to go to a "reputable shop", I must have used that term a dozen times. I have also been wanting to get a couple of more tattoos so I talked to some of my friends who have gotten quite a bit of work at Iron Tusk, they said they were great so I was sold. I called last Tuesday to set up an appointment for my youngest ear piercing, I was told any day from 11 to close the piercer would be there. I said great I would be there tomorrow, I was then told that I would have to be there before 2 because the piercer would be getting a tattoo at 2. I said ok I would be there around 11:30 I was told no appointments necessary. The next day I shut down my shop and loaded up my kid, I got the sketches I had for my tattoo ideas and my daughter, I figured I could at least leave them with an artist before a consultation. I went by the bank and got enough cash for the piercing, tip, and deposits if necessary. We got there parked in the back and strolled in right after 11:30. There was a pretty good sized crew sitting around and we were greeted, I said we were there to get my daughter's ears pierced, they told me the piercer wasn't there today. I told them I had called the day before, they told me someone had gotten their leg hurt and she went to the hospital with them. One girl did say sorry, and we walked out. I was a bit grouchy about it so I did go back and an told them we drove over an hour, the response was "OK". Now I get it shit happens people have emergencies, but there are a couple of things that would have made this not suck for me. First if someone calls and trys to make an appointment, make an appointment. Imagine how much differently this would have gone if I got a phone call before I got there, I wouldn't be upset, it would have been a minor inconvenience. Second thing that could have been done, any kind customer service when they told me I was shit out of luck. Literally anything would have been an improvement. An offer to schedule, a discount anything. So now I will have to continue to look for a "reputable shop" because this one cost me my time, fuel and a day of work. Do...

Iron Tusk is absolutely amazing. The vibe and energy of this place is beyond perfect. I honestly couldn't dream up a better space - plus it feels safe, homey, laid-back, inviting and just all around holds a very happy energy. Emmet actually offered to do a memorial piece for my husband who just recently passed away. He reached out to me and offered to do this piece free of charge..being a stay-at-home-mom who just lost my family's financial stability-- you can imagine how much this meant to me. Not only did his kindness and this tattoo help me in ways I truly can't put into words (you know how tattoos can heal- ifykyk)..but it is BEAUTIFUL. I'm so in love with it, totally obsessed. I gave Emmet a picture of my husband's favorite paint gun -he was an automotive painter- and my tattoo literally looks like you could pick the paint gun up off of my arm. i’ve had my septum done two times before i came to iron tusk. each one i had was unsterile , slow, and painful. pierced too low as well. but when i came here, the place was BEAUTIFUL. good energy all around. the “waiting” area is actually just like a living room, everyone lounges on couches talking to eachother waiting for their turn. the staff are really friendly & helpful, and very passionate about what they do. i had samantha do my septum, and she was AMAZING. she ensures good quality piercingns, makes sure everything is sterile, makes sure ur happy with the placement of ur piercing, super fast , and overall really good at what she does . she did my nostril piercing, septum, & navel all in under 15 mins & was quick and easy . im not used to this kind of piercing treatment🥹🤣 i absolutely love this place, and plan on coming back for any future...
