Cumberland Biscuit Company, you can do better. Our recent visit was a complete letdown and left a bad taste in our mouths, not just for your restaurant but for McMinnville as a whole. As out-of-town visitors who travel through McMinnville regularly, we’ve had several great experiences here in the past and recommended your spot to friends. That changed yesterday.
Every ketchup bottle in the dining area was empty. We had to scavenge three tables just to find sugar packets for our coffee. Speaking of coffee, we never received it until we flagged down another waitress because ours vanished after seating us. When I finally stopped our waitress to confirm she was, in fact, our server, I pointed out she hadn’t refilled our drinks once. Her response? Nothing. When she finally brought our food, she asked my wife if she needed syrup for her pancakes—seriously? I half-expected her to ask if we needed forks too. After that, she disappeared again. No check, no follow-up. We had to walk to the register, point to our table, and pay.
This isn’t just about one bad day—it’s about representing McMinnville to travelers like us. Yesterday, you gave both yourself and the town a bad name. It only takes one negative experience to overshadow all the good ones, and sadly, we won’t be back. Step it up, Cumberland...

They definitely have a good variety and some unique offerings. I ordered the supreme omelet and swapped out the ham for the spicy sausage. My husband ordered the Billy Nelson. We both got biscuits for our side and a side of home fries to share.
Our food came out pretty quickly and was the perfect temperature. The home fries were seasoned perfectly. My omelet was delicious, it was more of a scramble, but still delicious. The meats were all very flavorful and the veggies were perfect except the mushrooms which were either canned or overcooked. My husband's Benedict was good, with a good variety of flavors. The sweet potatoes were a bit under cooked and the poached eggs were a bit overcooked, but otherwise tasted good. The biscuits were delicious.
Our server was great. She gave us time to review the menu and make a decision, she checked on us appropriately and refilled drinks as needed.
There are two restrooms, one was out of service. Street parking was okay on a Friday morning on the one way street.

This included 2 eggs (suited to you), country fried potatoes, choice of meat...I opted for sausage, biscuits and gravy or grits. He ordered eggs Benedict with English muffin and 2 crab cakes, his option was grits. We loved our meals and shared a taste with each other. I had requested eggs over medium but when they came the whites were still slightly liquid. The potatoes were just right as far as seasoning, serving size and tenderness. The sausage at this place is very fresh and very tasty. There were 2whole biscuits that were the best I've ever had. They were slightly risen and not doughy at all. I only needed one so I took the other home for later. The gravy was very good too. His meal was cooked perfectly with amazingly flavored crab cakes on a fresh English muffin. He requested a small side of spinach leaves to compliment. His grits were cooked well and more than he could eat. He loved the coffee so much he bought a pound to take home. Our service was quick and friendly and not intrusive. This place is now going to be one of our favorites. If you try it I'm sure you won't be...
